Reports to: Credit Director
Location: Shanghai
Position Summary:
To provide premier service to the company's Groups, Divisions, Sales Companies and Customers. The incumbent will have oversight and shared responsibility with the regional selling entities and regional Leadership Team for the company's Credit and Collection function within the Asia Pacific Region.
Scope/Supervision and Interaction
Geographic scope of job is the Asia Pacific Region. The role will have a high level of interaction with the regional finance and credit teams, to include the Director of Finance Asia Pacific, Country FSM's, Division Controllers, Vice President / Controller Asia Pacific and the credit teams in the region. The role is established as an individual contributor position, yet leadership by influence is a key business skill.
Essential Functions:
? Establish and approve credit limits that correspond to the levels of authority granted under the Global Credit Limits Policy.
o Includes credit analysis and credit line recommendations on major accounts
? Regional trade receivables and key statistics reporting on a monthly or quarterly basis - report formats consistent with Corporate Credit Standards and using Team Improvement Concepts.
? Provide credit and collection technical support and engagement with all selling locations in the region; support includes major customer work-outs, consulting on key or complex credits and being a filter and approver for all control policies and processes.
? Stay informed on country, political and all related macro and geo-political issues that could impact the collect ability or risk of the portfolio; liaison with the selling locations on such issues and take corrective actions as needed.
? Create and manage a regional forum that links all locations and supports a high level of communication, interaction, benchmarking and sharing across the region.

o Regular calls, account updates and portfolio reviews
? Analyzing trends within the portfolio, then develop and help execute plans to drive continuous improvement
? Incumbent will be a key part of the Asia Management team, and will communicate results, provide analysis on the portfolio and customers, drive key issues and ensure adequate controls and policies are enforced and in place around the region.
? Perform bad debt analysis to ensure bad debt reserve requirements are within Corporate guidelines.
? Regularly update the Director of Corporate Credit, Groups and Corporate management on pertinent information related to the portfolios.
? Travel to the company's locations to evaluate compliance with Corporate policies, review and audit of the location portfolios, share and enact best practices across the region.
? Customer visits as needed to partner with the sales team to ensure credit compliance and collection of the receivable.
Qualifications:
? Four year college degree or equivalency
o Advanced degree a plus, but not required
? 10 + years experience in business credit and trade finance
o Industrial, multi-national experience a plus
? Proficient in computer skills to include Microsoft desk top applications (Excel, Word, PPT, etc)
? Proficient in English and Mandarin
? Strong international, cross-border, trade finance skill sets
o UCP, Bankruptcy laws, Arbitration rules, Conventions on trade, Lien and asset protection laws, etc.
? Maintains a valid passport and credentials that allow full regional travel access
