Role Summary/Purpose

The Advanced Data Network (ADN) Product Focal will manage the relationship between the GE AVIC Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) Platform team and the SAVIC ADN Switch product team. This position is essential to ensuring that the Joint Venture maintains ADN switch related capability and the ability to integrate the AVIC switches into its IMA product. This role requires strong communications and management skills with a background in IMA and gateway interface related technologies.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Statement of Work between the IMA Platform JV and the AVIC switch supplier. • Support the integration of the AVIC switches into the IMA Platform • Lead the effort to review and approve ADN switch related deliverables • Ensure that the switch product supplier complies with essential processes including SAE ARP-4754, DO-297, DO-178B, DO-254, and relevant GE AVIC internal processes • Ensure that the ADN switch product supplier meets schedule, scope, and deliverable goals • Establish and maintain excellent communication between the JV IMA Platform Team and its ADN switch supplier • Represent the concerns of the ADN product team with other stakeholders to ensure that customer requirements are achieved • Compile and report ADN switch related metrics to the IMA platform team • Facilitate the flow of problem reports, requirements, and other artifacts between the JV and the AVIC switch product team • Implement initiatives to continuously improve the responsiveness of the IMA platform to customer and business needs

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years work experience in a technical role) • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management and supplier or customer interface • Avionics system development experience • Demonstrated knowledge of avionics and other industry standards such as ARINC 664, IEEE 802.3 (Ethernet), and DO-160 • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial avionics certification standards including SAE ARP-4754, DO-297, DO-178B, and DO-254. • Ability and willingness to travel between Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States; and Shanghai, China • Solid oral and written communication skills (English required)
