Description
As a member of the Firmware team that develops solutions for 2G GSM/GPRS/EGPRS for next generation cellular baseband chipsets, the candidate will be responsible for the modem low level processing part as well as the scheduling part of the solution.

This includes but not limited to the implementation and the verification of the new feature introduced in 3GPP standard released every year and new requirement pops up from market based on Intel modem architecture. Typical modules for the modem processing chain include channel codec, equalizer, and ciphering. Also needs to Moreover the team is also responsible of the Firmware component integration and customer support in the final mobile platform.

The candidate will be expected to:
? Provide module descriptions, reference code, software KPI MCPS, ROM, RAM consumption.
? Define efficient software partitioning in RTOS environment.
? Implement optimized processing modules and scheduling.
? Maintain FW implementation, analyze and fix issue pops-up from component test, system test, IoT and field test.
? Follow strict SW methodology for component platform integration versioning and bug tracking.
? Close interaction with 2G Physical layer and 2G Protocol stack teams for solving complex system issues.

Qualifications
Required:
- Master or Ph.D degree majored in Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, and Telecommunication
- Modem processing algorithm development skills
- Experience with integration 2G modem algorithms on embedded systems
- Real-time SW development and debug over multi-core platforms with tight cycles and memory footprint constraints
- C float, C fixed and assembly programming experience
- Experience with DSP- Excellent communicator both in writing and verbally
- Good English written and spoken
- Team player and Self-driven
- Must be able to work with people in many different cultures

Desired:
- ROM code and software patch techniques
