Role Summary/Purpose

The Quality Leader will support and drive improvements in execution and productivity through the traditional quality system and the use of lean and six-sigma. This role will also be responsible for supporting performed tasks worldwide using consistent processes and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities

• Be the quality focal point for Engineering activities directed toward process control, quality assurance & Lean Six Sigma initiative. • Work with cross-functional teams to establish a structured approach for consistency and adherence to quality procedures and requirements. • Conduct audits and follow up audits, through closure. • Perform root cause analyses from quality metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary. • Support QMS alignment & rollout initiatives within the organization • Support creation of engineering metrics • Execute the quality objectives and standards for the organization in accordance with the Company’s objectives • Execute, improve and drive an annual operating plan and coordinate its execution across the engineering department • Support Harmonizing the quality initiatives and work with the global team effectively • Support and implement quality metrics and goals for operating managers including conducting periodic reviews with team leaders • Drive the quality building blocks for Engineering Change Order (ECO) Reduction, Drawing Quality First Time Yield (FTY), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and action reviews to meet the customer expectations of quality • Ownership of engineering Quality Management System (QMS) effectiveness, maintenance and improvement • Define and lead implementation of yearly / quarterly plan including continuous improvement, auditing and training • Monitor critical quality process and product quality coordinating QA/QC • Coach and support the development of Green-Belt projects to ensure delivery of continuous improvement within engineering areas.

Qualifications/Requirements

• BS Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering from accredited College or University. • Minimum 5 years working experience in Oil & Gas or Energy Industry. • Demonstrated leadership experience in an quality, engineering or manufacturing business • Strong background and experience in creating/interpreting Engineering drawings/specifications. • Strong Statistics and Analytical Skills • Experience in using DMAIC, DFSS, CAP, WorkOut, LEAN or other tools and methodologies to identify process gaps and lead change • Ability to understand the big picture and also drill down into details for process improvement • Good English communication skills (written and verbal), analytical and problem solving skills. • Ability to work in cross functional team environment • Demonstrated work in Matrixes Organizations • Must possess strong proficiency in MS-Office package • Be willing to travel • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (GE Internal)

Desired Characteristics

• QMS/ISO 9001:2008 experience a Plus (not required) • Certified ISO Auditor preferred • Demonstrated Process Improvement project execution • Self-Starter and able to work with limited supervision • IATC certified (GE Internal) • Apollo RCA certified (GE Internal) • Advanced degree in business or an engineering discipline • Influential, credible leader with deep knowledge and experience in Energy sector • Clear thinker with ability to develop, communicate, and deliver clear strategy and action plans
