BROAD FUNCTION
Work within the Product Management team. Responsible for the implementation and support of defined product related strategies to ensure the overall Business objectives are achieved. This includes feedback and input into product range definition, Implementation of key processes and procedures (e.g. pricing), stock management, turnover and GP tracking
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1) MARKET DEVELOPMENT
? Support the implementation of national sales, marketing and business strategies for BT Products;
? Conduct market / competitor / product research (market intelligence)
? Research customer needs and satisfaction feedback
? Support to develop existing and new distribution channels
? Initiate marketing events, activities and exhibitions to promote product branding and acceptance
? Organize marketing support at POS (Sub Dealers, Decorations Companies) by defining show room concepts and POS activities
? Organize marketing / sales support through product brochures, demo, samples etc.
2) PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
? Evaluate product suitability and market acceptance of products via sales channels and key clients.
? Support Product Development and related analysis on: COST, Profitability and Volume forecast’s
? Liaise with related departments: PROD, CT, PUR, CCS, SCM
? Initiate and support appropriate pilot programs to test customer and market receptivity.
? Be in charge of keeping delivery program and pricing lists up to date.
? Support with development of new programs and articles including setting up the articles in SAP and all related article data management.
3) MARKET PLANNING
? Support product type and product range for the assigned market and region.
? Plan the distribution channels and product mix
? Planning national inventory and logistical management for each target region.
? Generate detailed product release information for use by sales staff and customers.
? Undertake market forecasting and trend analysis for marketing and production purposes
? Support developing national pricing and discount structures.
4) ADVERTISMENT AND PROMOTION
? Coordinate advertisements, trade-shows, conferences, seminars, mail-outs, electronic Newsletters and samples distribution to enhance the image of REHAU and products.
? Support MARCOM team with information about products and relevant market insights.
5) STOCK ANALYSIS
? Range analysis.
? Assess national stock levels through inventory reports.
? Assess BT forecasts and communicate to Product Management and relevant key personnel in China.
? Monitor slow moving and obsolete stock and coordinate continuous rationalization of unwanted stock.
6) MANAGEMENT
? Prepare and Present via developed analysis tools the business development and forecast
? Manage relationships with key internal constituents
? Provide product advice to sales staff of assigned market and region.
? Streamline product procurement processes.
? Support with analyses for reports sent to top management team in Germany
REQUIREMENTS
1) EDUCATION
? Relevant education in marketing or business, preferably degree qualified and with a preferably strong technical background in engineering or the construction industry;
? Tertiary Educated: Engineering and/or Business degree favored
2) EXPERIENCE
? At least 2 years experience in commercial job within a mid to large size firm, preferably in the area of construction.
? Prior sales and/or marketing experience will be a plus.
? Prior exposure to the polymer industry will be a plus.
3) SKILLS
? Strong English skills
? Strong skills in translation from English to Chinese and vice versal and feeling comfortable to speak in front of large groups.
? familiar with office software, specially excellent in Excel
? Motivation to learn and acquire new knowledge
? Good customer interface and interpersonal skills
? Strong team building and influencing skills to foster relations with the Sales/Marcom teams.
