Scop of the function:
The function of the manager operations includes the departments or disciplines:
· supply chain (including purchasing, production planning and distribution planning)
· production
· warehousing and distribution (logistics)
· maintenance and engineering
· Quality assurance
· SHE – safety, health and labour conditions and environment
The manager operations is responsible for the quality and performance of the departments as well as the quality and performance of products and services delivered by external third parties such as maintenance and engineering services, logistical companies etc. The manager operations manager is member of the Zeelandia Wuxi MT and is reporting directly to the managing director of Zeelandia East Africa.
External contacts are developed and maintained with authorities, suppliers, branch organizations suppliers, such as logistics and raw materials etc. The Manager Operations will have contacts with relevant managers in the Zeelandia group of companies.


Main responsibilities and tasks：

· Organize and manage the supply chain, production, engineering logistics, quality assurance and activities ensuring that these deliver the required output and live up to the world-wide Zeelandia standards, including planning & control as well as continuous improvements.
· Staffing these departments; motivation, inspiration and continuous development of the company’s staff and safeguarding safety of the employees.
· Formulation of the annual Operations/engineering budget, investments, costs; and after approval implementation.
· Optimize and maintain efficient production lines as well as production, quality assurance and logistics. Produce and deliver products at agreed upon levels; quality, time, costs, safety, stock levels etc. according to corporate standards.
· realize a product portfolio (based upon the sales and marketing policy of the company and determined by sales and marketing department ) that supports the planned growth and meets the requirements on product performance, costs and complexity.
· Realize an effective supply chain, with a smooth cooperation between the various disciplines. Realize good communication and cooperation between production, product development and sales.
· Monitor and safeguard the compliance of the department and its staff to the company’s and corporate Zeelandia business principles.
· Monitor and safeguarding the compliance of the company to applicable legislation.
· Participate in the international network of the Zeelandia group of companies, share best practices and exchange of business information, work together with the corporate Zeelandia departments, product development, quality, operations and process technology
The manager operations is responsible for the technical, safety and execution of food safety standards of the company.

General：

Education: university degree in technical, engineering, food or chemical
Languages: Good English, both verbally as well as writing, main local languages


Knowledge and Experience：
