Reporting Relationship:President/CEO
Primary Purpose of Position:This primary purpose of this role is to expertly manage, lead and direct all China operations. They will be responsible for ensuring that all functional activities (marketing, sales, finance, production, quality assurance, engineering, human resources and business development) are proficiently and resourcefully accomplished according to Corporate processes, policies, directives and procedures. They will interface and partner with several departments and key global business leaders within the organization to develop and execute strategic business plans to increase our overall market share in China. Key primary purposes of this position are as follows:
Achieve company performance targets against the objectives and the growth strategy.
Provide project progress updates to the global management and the headquarters in the United States.
Lead the development of the operations, coordinate all third parties and represent the best interests of the company in line with legal requirements.
Build and maintain relationships with the local authorities and communities.
Ensure market intelligence and customer knowledge to meet company targets and forecasts.
Establish best in class practices for health & safety, quality and operational excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Assume full profit and loss responsibility for TP Orthodontic's China Operations.
· Set the vision and strategy to increase profitability and grow market share in the region.
· Drive TPO's strategy within the region and identify short-to-long term business strategies for the Company.
· Identify opportunities to drive top line growth.
· Establish systems and procedures that will effectively control operations and safeguard company assets.
· Ensure China business initiatives are in alignment with TPO's overall business objectives.
· Supervise, lead and direct of domestic sales & marketing team, customer service, finance, production, quality assurance and human resources to meet revenue and profit plans
· Manage and provide direction and coordination to internal operational functions including order entry, procurement & planning and distribution.
· Maintain documentation and testing of the internal control environment, working in concert with corporate management, including remediation of any control deficiencies.
· Collaborate with teams in other regions to develop best practice strategies and share success projects for the China business.
· Prepare of annual budgets and unit business plans.
· Provide guidance and counsel to the business unit controllers regarding sales, accounting, control and reporting issues as they arise and ensure compliance with Company policies.
· Interact with, and provide analytical support to, those responsible for the marketing, financial planning & analysis function, including: budgeting, planning, forecasting, modeling, capital authorization requests, acquisition support/due diligence, and supporting the financial information and analysis needs of the Chinese business unit.
· Oversee the timely preparation of weekly/monthly management reports and variance analyses to support the division leaders in decision-making and project management; challenge personnel to improve short and long term performance.
· Manage the audit execution and associated relationships the Company's internal and external auditors.
· Approve, apply, and monitor Annual Forecast Business Plan to commit to agreed sales/cost and profitability levels. Take required action to correct overspending or loss in sales and review results with President/CEO and corporate Finance.
Sales and Marketing
· Assist in organization of territories and regions for the most efficient coverage to conserve time and expense. To increase TPO market share to maximum annually.
· Attend Trade Meetings as required and agreed with VP/Marketing. Present promotional pricing to Corporate while monitoring sales goals.
· Obtain required reports timely from sales personnel, evaluate reports and comments for changes in the market place and to help and improve representative's efforts, using relevant sales analysis company software.
· Play a key role in identifying, quantifying and facilitating opportunities in the China/ Asia Pacific region and serve as the key contact with government authorities and local organizations.
· Act as a primary interface to Chinese customers, partners, suppliers and other regional stakeholders.
· Support negotiations with suppliers, customers and contract discussions.
· Develop and maintain contact and strategic relationships with key customers.
· Identify cultural/regional and competition trends pertaining to sales development, recommending changes in Marketing trends and advising accordingly.
· Work in the Field (with Sales/Management as required) to improve and maximize our sales efforts, whether direct or dealers.
Human Resources
· Recruit employees to the highest standard and provide training and educate to the company standard.
· Follow procedures according to Chinese Employment Law and Contractual Obligation and Corporate Policy, which will include promotions, wage adjustments, employee reviews and other related duties.
· Hire China leadership staff and assume responsibility for mentoring, training, coaching and other development activities that are needed to achieve a high performance organization.
· Monitor all relevant policies and procedures throughout the Company, ensuring a sound internal control environment and compliance with US/Corporate standards. Oversee divisional compliance with Company policies.
· Motivate and grow high performing teams. Mentor, coach and train the management team and build the required competencies for success.
Information Technology
· Monitor all Company computer systems, software and hardware. Communicating with IT Director on maintenance and recommendations. Provide ongoing training of office personnel as required.
Accounting
· Demonstrate working knowledge of recently issued Chinese Accounting Standard's pronouncements and demonstrate thorough knowledge of professional standards and practices. Proactively research the impact of new promulgated Chinese Accounting Standards on the Company's financial results. Determine and implement the appropriate accounting and financial requirements.
· Structure, build, and manage an appropriate accounting organization; mentor and enhance the skill level of the existing team.
· Oversee and drive improvements in transactional processes including accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit and collections, payroll, the month-end close and consolidations.
· Lead the assessment and implementation of financial systems; ensuring up-to-date systems, a data warehousing and business intelligence capability; establish criteria to measure financial and accounting systems and regularly appraise and evaluate results against these standards; coordinate and integrate best systems/practices.
· Refine and improve the monthly / quarterly reporting package to support the Company's external reporting requirements.
· Ensure timely preparation of all external financial statements and management reports. Prepare Management's Discussion and Analysis for insertion into corporate files. Coordinate with auditors and legal counsel regarding external reporting and regulatory compliance.
· Responsible for timely and accurate information, monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets, yearly profit and loss forecast and year-end audit. Additionally financial duties will include, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, price cost analysis and expenditures.
Manufacturing/Production Responsibilities:
· Oversee Production Manager and manufacturing operations such as plans, schedules and overall performance.
· Maintains an awareness of current and future product plans.
· Determines need for subcontract manufacturing and recommends to corporate for approval the fabricators to work under contract through advisement of the President/CEO.
· Participates with other TPO Management in the development and growth of manufacturing policies and plans.
· Responsible for organizing annual accurate yearly inventory physical stock take, for accounting purpose and completing financial year-end Company procedures to policy.
Knowledge and Skill
· Fluency in Mandarin and English, both written and verbal.
· 15+ years of leadership experience with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management capacity with P&L responsibility.
· Prior leadership experience in Sales Development, Marketing, Operations within the Asia Pacific market.
· Experience in business management, including strategic planning and implementation, as well as staff management.
· Solid business experience in China, including demonstrated experience launching and distributing products into the China consumer markets with measurable success, a deep understanding of the customer in China and experience working with suppliers, partners and distribution channels in China.

Accounting
· Demonstrate working knowledge of recently issued Chinese Accounting Standard's pronouncements and demonstrate thorough knowledge of professional standards and practices. Proactively research the impact of new promulgated Chinese Accounting Standards on the Company's financial results. Determine and implement the appropriate accounting and financial requirements.
· Structure, build, and manage an appropriate accounting organization; mentor and enhance the skill level of the existing team.
· Oversee and drive improvements in transactional processes including accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit and collections, payroll, the month-end close and consolidations.
· Lead the assessment and implementation of financial systems; ensuring up-to-date systems, a data warehousing and business intelligence capability; establish criteria to measure financial and accounting systems and regularly appraise and evaluate results against these standards; coordinate and integrate best systems/practices.
· Refine and improve the monthly / quarterly reporting package to support the Company's external reporting requirements.
· Ensure timely preparation of all external financial statements and management reports. Prepare Management's Discussion and Analysis for insertion into corporate files. Coordinate with auditors and legal counsel regarding external reporting and regulatory compliance.
· Responsible for timely and accurate information, monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets, yearly profit and loss forecast and year-end audit. Additionally financial duties will include, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, price cost analysis and expenditures.
Manufacturing/Production Responsibilities:
· Oversee Production Manager and manufacturing operations such as plans, schedules and overall performance.
· Maintains an awareness of current and future product plans.
· Determines need for subcontract manufacturing and recommends to corporate for approval the fabricators to work under contract through advisement of the President/CEO.
· Participates with other TPO Management in the development and growth of manufacturing policies and plans.
· Responsible for organizing annual accurate yearly inventory physical stock take, for accounting purpose and completing financial year-end Company procedures to policy.
Knowledge and Skill
· Fluency in Mandarin and English, both written and verbal.
· 15+ years of leadership experience with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management capacity with P&L responsibility.
· Prior leadership experience in Sales Development, Marketing, Operations within the Asia Pacific market.
· Experience in business management, including strategic planning and implementation, as well as staff management.

Primary Purpose of Position
This section provides a general overview of the primary role/function for this specific position:
This primary purpose of this role is to expertly manage, lead and direct all China operations. They will be responsible for ensuring that all functional activities (marketing, sales, finance, production, quality assurance, engineering, human resources and business development) are proficiently and resourcefully accomplished according to Corporate processes, policies, directives and procedures. They will interface and partner with several departments and key global business leaders within the organization to develop and execute strategic business plans to increase our overall market share in China. ? Drive TPO's strategy within the region and identify short-to-long term business strategies for the Company.

? Ensure China business initiatives are in alignment with TPO's overall business objectives.
? Supervise, lead and direct of domestic sales & marketing team, customer service, finance, production, quality assurance and human resources to meet revenue and profit plans
? Manage and provide direction and coordination to internal operational functions including order entry, procurement & planning and distribution.
? Maintain documentation and testing of the internal control environment, working in concert with corporate management, including remediation of any control deficiencies.
? Collaborate with teams in other regions to develop best practice strategies and share success projects for the China business.
? Prepare of annual budgets and unit business plans.
? Provide guidance and counsel to the business unit controllers regarding sales, accounting, control and reporting issues as they arise and ensure compliance with Company policies.

Interact with, and provide analytical support to, those responsible for the marketing, financial planning & analysis function, including: budgeting, planning, forecasting, modeling, capital authorization requests, acquisition support/due diligence, and supporting the financial information and analysis needs of the Chinese business unit.
? Oversee the timely preparation of weekly/monthly management reports and variance analyses to support the division leaders in decision-making and project management; challenge personnel to improve short and long term performance.
? Manage the audit execution and associated relationships the Company's internal and external auditors.
? Approve, apply, and monitor Annual Forecast Business Plan to commit to agreed sales/cost and profitability levels. Take required action to correct overspending or loss in sales and review results with President/CEO and corporate Finance.
Sales and Marketing
? Assist in organization of territories and regions for the most efficient coverage to conserve time and expense. To increase TPO market share to maximum annually.
? Attend Trade Meetings as required and agreed with VP/Marketing. Present promotional pricing to Corporate while monitoring sales goals.
? Obtain required reports timely from sales personnel, evaluate reports and comments for changes in the market place and to help and improve representative's efforts, using relevant sales analysis company software.
? Play a key role in identifying, quantifying and facilitating opportunities in the China/ Asia Pacific region and serve as the key contact with government authorities and local organizations.
? Act as a primary interface to Chinese customers, partners, suppliers and other regional stakeholders.
? Support negotiations with suppliers, customers and contract discussions.
? Develop and maintain contact and strategic relationships with key customers.
