Caterpillar has exciting opportunities for individuals who want to be challenged, are mobile and are interested in progressing through a number of staff and supervisory assignments. This Staff Auditor I position will work under guidance from the Sr. Staff Auditor to review and appraise business activities evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of Corporate controls as well as the effectiveness of operations. You will be assigned work which could include:

· Responsibility for locating and appraising problems and presenting current management perspective to corporate and location managers

· Appraising adequacy of controls and compliance to worldwide business conduct and operating principles and to convince management of the need for implementation of audit recommendations

· Preparing written reports at the completion of each audit

· Audits of various functions and activities at all Profit Centers, departments, depots and domestic and foreign subsidiaries

· Oral presentation of results, deficiencies and recommendations to improve both operations and controls to management in location visited

· Coordinating with audits performed by Public Accounting firms retained by the company

Required Qualifications:

· 4 year Degree, preferably in accounting/finance

· At least 7 years working experience in Accounting, Treasury or Finance functions

· Willingness to travel and be mobile minded

· Excellent Initiative, Communication, Leadership and Interpersonal skills.

Desired Qualifications:

· CPA or CMA (or International Equivalent)

· MBA or Masters Degree in Accounting (or International Equivalent)
