Job_description_responsibilities:
The China Machine Configuration Engineer resides on the Asia Motor Grader Machine Systems Integration Team, and will report to the Asia Motor Grader Machine Integration Manager. The engineer will create and maintain machine top level models and drawings, including general specifications and test instructions under the vehicle design control, and the motor grader product structure, which includes maintaining and recording attachment compatibilities. The engineer will also support the Marketing team for price list updates. They will have ownership of critical processes such as machine virtual audits, 3D model checks, bill of material accuracy and conversion of ProE models to compressed 3D files.

Required_skills_qualifications:
1. An accredited Bachelor of Science degree in engineering
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in mobile vehicle engineering
3. Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and interact with a diverse workforce.
4. Excellent English written & oral communication skills to effectively communicate with a worldwide team.
5. Basic ProE skill level

Desired_skills_qualifications:
1. An accredited Masters of Science degree in engineering
2. 5+ years of experience in mobile vehicle engineering
3. Previous experience with SAP, and positive bill of material execution.
4. Project Management training and experience developing schedules
5. Experience with Motor Grader product development in a system design or test team.
6. Previous experience in machine configuration
7. Working knowledge of Caterpillar engineering standards, practices, and procedures, including, but not limited to, machine concept, design, detailing, EDS releasing, and 3D model management in ProE and VisView.
8. 6 Sigma training
