Job_description_responsibilities:

The China Machine Systems Integration Engineer resides on the Asia Motor Grader Machine Systems Integration Team, and will report to the Asia Motor Grader Machine Integration Manager. The engineer will be responsible for combining individual systems of a machine into a balanced, optimized, total product system in accordance to the technical specifications to achieve the product’s functional requirements. This includes critical examination of system interfaces and interactions. This role requires knowledge of all machine systems, including mechanical, structural, electrical, hydraulic, engine, cooling system, light fabrications, cab, transmission, and powertrain. The integration engineer establishes project schedules with the appropriate teams, and ensures the dates are achieved. They facilitate virtual audits (Safety, Manufacturability, Serviceability, etc.) and kinematics studies as required. In addition to developing the optimum machine designs, they are responsible for supporting prototype and test builds.

Required_skills_qualifications:

1. An accredited Bachelor of Science degree in engineering
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in mobile vehicle engineering
3. Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and interact with a diverse workforce.
4. Excellent English written & oral communication skills to effectively communicate with a worldwide team.
5. Advanced ProE skill level

Desired_skills_qualifications:

1. An accredited Masters of Science degree in engineering
2. 7+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or machine test
3. Project Management training and experience developing schedules
4. Experience with Motor Grader product development in a system design or test team.
5. Successful completion of 6 Sigma Black Belt training
6. Working knowledge of Caterpillar engineering standards, practices, and procedures, including, but not limited to, machine concept, design, detailing, EDS releasing, and 3D model management in ProE and VisView.
