As a Distribution Supervisor at Caterpillar, you will have an opportunity to perform general supervision over all warehouses in the facility, including metal storage, sequencer, finished good warehouse. You will schedule the work of production and provide production with material kits. You will manage employees doing daily entry of Build to plan and Ship to plan results.


Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

* Supervising or managing a work unit of hourly or salaried employees where planning, scheduling, monitoring and reviewing work of subordinates is required.
* Responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of subordinates.
* Participating in brainstorming sessions focused on developing new approaches to meeting quality goals in the measure(s) stated.
* Resolving issues by following departmental guidelines or applying a solution that worked in the
past.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* Knowledge of various operating, purchasing, parts ordering and inventory management systems;
the ability to read blueprints; familiarity with engineering data systems, as well as packaging and pricing knowledge.
* College or university degree or equivalent experience.
* One to two years of job-related experience are typically required.
* Good human relations skills are required to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the department.

* Knowledge of Caterpillar's products, policies, and procedures
