Candidate Focus & Challenge

Standardisation & Simplification
? Business Analyst will work with the process team to deliver the highest standard of customer service whilst adhering to global processes and all relevant financial controls.
? Integral member of Global Process Team. Supporting the GPO in identifying and implementing opportunities to standardise and simplify the team’s activities and ensure that new processes are adhered to on an ongoing basis.

Reporting, Planning & Forecasting
? Responsible for month end close for all cost centre and /or projects in your area of expertise preparing analysis on a timely and accurate basis
? Interpret financial data, and use knowledge and understanding of customer’s business, to deliver quality variance analysis and insightful commentary for management reporting
? Proactive interaction with Business to provide inputs, challenge and outputs during forecasting updates including ABU, RBUs, phased budget and Business Plan.
? Work with Finance Business Partners to determine and highlight risks and opportunities throughout the forecasting process and produce insightful analysis for inclusion in core planning presentations
? Focus on KPI delivery and reporting with a strong emphasis on customer service

Compliance & Financial Controls
? Ensure delivery of all reporting requirements, Management assurance testing and necessary training in the financial compliance arena
? Develop strong relationship with Ops FP&A Compliance Officer, unit signatories and FC&CG to build confidence and understanding in the compliance framework and Operations business priorities

Business Support
? Assist in better business decisions by provision of financial expertise and insightful analysis to all ad hoc queries from customers
? In line with SLA, provide support to Finance Business Partners to support on-going projects
? Ensure corporate governance standards are met, taking accountability for effective operation of relevant financial reporting controls

Work collaboratively with:
? Global Process Owner to deliver process standardisation and simplification and share best practice across all areas of the Ops FP&A Group
? Operations FP&A Group Customer Leads to deliver world class customer service to the Operations business units
? Site Finance Business Partners to successfully implement process changes with complete business buy in
? GFP&R / GFO to deliver global processes and input to relevant global initiatives
? Wider Finance network and specifically other AZ Finance teams in identification of best practices and cross-business innovative opportunities

Candidate Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential
? A qualified finance professional (or qualified by experience to an equivalent level of capability)
? Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and ability to support / challenge /influence other members of the team (including those more senior) in a positive way
? Experience of using financial systems to support budgeting, forecasting and modelling; has advanced Excel skills
? Demonstrated ability to organise both self and others in complex projects / activities
? Able to identify improvements in processes and initiate change resulting in more efficient ways of working
? Builds relationships well with strong customer service track record
? Works cross-functionally and globally, particularly where customers are remote and relationships have to be built at distance

Desirable
? Familiar with AZ group reporting and forecasting tools (Hyperion) and SAP
