Position Statement:

Provides customer service support to the organization by obtaining, analyzing and verifying the accuracy of order information in a timely manner. Initiates and/or implements corrective action as needed in order to ensure that an excellent standard of service and a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained. Prepares customer service summary reports. Co-ordinates the handling of difficult and/or unusual situations.

Education and Experience

1. Bachelor degree or equivalent
2. knowledge of customer service principles and practices
3. knowledge of relevant computer applications
4. ability to type
5. knowledge of administrative procedures
6. numeric, oral and written language applications
7. product knowledge

Position Duties and Responsibilities

1. deal directly with customers either by telephone, electronically
2. respond promptly to customer inquiries
3. handle and resolve customer complaints
4. obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle inquiries and complaints
5. perform customer verifications
6. process orders, forms, applications and requests
7. direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource
8. manage customers' accounts
9. keep records of customer interactions and transactions
10. record details of inquiries, comments and complaints
11. record details of actions taken
12. manage administration
13. communicate and coordinate with internal departments
14. follow up on customer interactions
15. Make the necessary documents, letter or statements, as required by the customer
16. Co-ordinates the organization's involvement in internal and external trade shows.
