Sandvik in Wuxi is seeking for a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

The position would directly report to Site Sourcing Manager, below please refer to the job description:

Key performance areas:

·Responsible for adherence to internal and external policies, regulations and laws

·Responsible for suppliers’ compliance on Sandvik policies and guidelines including EHS, Supplier Code of Conduct etc.

·Ensure conformity, perceived quality and traceability of any project all along the product development phase

·Deploy and follow-up of Product Supplier Quality Planning related to the development phase of bought-out Parts

·Develop suppliers that are not familiar and/or do not demonstrate effective utilization of recognized industry quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, Gage R&R, etc

·Assess suppliers according to Supplier Quality core processes

·Manage progress plan with low-performance suppliers in collaboration with the sourcing project manager and site SQE if site already involved

·Manage the process qualification (process audit) with site SQE–when in development phase

·Lead the development and production process for measurement, checking and testing fixtures and gauges

·Train the suppliers and make sure that the defined standards are properly applied

·Define the control plans

·Manage action plans with suppliers in case of deviations-in development phase

·Conduct supplier assessments in accordance to the project/sourcing team strategy

·Manage compliance with, and use of global and local contracts within region with regards to Supplier Quality

·Ensure product Supplier Quality Planning progress with the status report and take decision in collaboration with the project team

·Give recommendations and/or technical decisions to ensure a defect-free process through project management

·Monitor and review the Production Part Approval file before the transfer to site and hand over to the site SQE

·Work according to processes, leveraging systems and tools

·Provide annual budgetary estimates including manpower, assets, equipment etc.; manage and control expenses within budget

·Support the Category Sourcing team to build up the strategic and long-term cooperation relationship with key suppliers

·Ensure good coordination and communication with common suppliers across PAs, and RSO, PDC and other function teams within AC

·Continuously update and manage sourcing information in SPD (Savings Project Database), ERP, and other company system

Your profile:

·University degree in related field or equal experience

·Minimum 5 year experience with supplier quality, projects management. Technical expertise on field. Experience from sourcing.

·With required competence of Leadership/ Stakeholder management /Analytical thinking /Team work/ Project management /Quality management /Contract establishment and awareness/Business acumen & market understanding/ Negotiation /Supply chain/drive.

As a person you are proactive, self-motivated and one with lot of initiative, courage and integrity and a business minded, result oriented attitude. You also have strong communication skills and can work in an English environment.
