Sandvik in Wuxi is seeking for a Planning Engineer

The position would directly report to Logistics Assistant Manager, below please refer to the job description:

Key performance areas:

·Responsible for planning, scheduling and campaigning customer orders in a method that is effective and economical, utilizing current manufacturing capabilities of the company to maximize raw material yield.

·Responsible for generating schedules and all shop travellers, delivery, and capabilities for products to customers. Ensure and coordinate planning of subcontracted services

·Work with Sales to ensure effective transition of information from customer to order fulfilment

·Responsible for Backlog Management and communicates with Sales and Production to maintain a smooth process flow in the production facility. Quote price, delivery and capabilities for finished products to customer and communicate order delays or production changes

·Ensure raw material planning and supply and responsible for inventory control

·Take full process responsibility for planning and, as a line responsibility, improve customer service (stock availability), at the same time as the NWC is improved; make analysis and take proper actions to make sustainable development

·Responsible for Direct Material purchasing. Submit the purchase request based on the stock level and forecast. Monitor internal PO status and make sure arriving on time

·Responsible for managing direct suppliers to keep them in good performance. Work with suppliers and subcontractors to keep production schedule current and up to date

·Work with management to coordinate available resources; Develop and maintain a production schedule for open capacity

·Responsible for Warehouse management, daily work assignment and warehouse people management. Make sure the inventory accuracy and 5S, continuously improvement in warehouse.

Your profile:

·Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacture environment

·Good English skills(reading, speaking & writing)

·Requires a holistic viewpoint, the ability to develop professionally and to get the job done with good results.

·Cooperate, communicate and build a network for the best possible use of resources and the achievement of goals

·Forceful, result oriented and quality conscious in the working style, work independently but also a good team player.

·Strong problem solving and analytical stills, good communicative and organizational skills

·Strong skill in Microsoft office, word, excel, PPT, Access etc.

As a person you are proactive, self-motivated and one with lot of initiative, courage and integrity and a business minded, result oriented attitude. You also have strong communication skills and can work in an English environment.
