Key Responsibilities:
? directs, organizes, executes, and coordinates the manufacturing
? oversee the production process and manage the production schedule in respect of human and material resources
? provide leadership to keep products on schedule and on budget. the resulting products are to be safe, reliable, within the budgeted cost and delivered on time
? monitor the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed
? recommend modifications to existing products, and production methods
? responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment
? ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
? responsible for work habits and work environment of the department to minimize personal injury and other unnecessary losses
? review the performance of subordinates
? identify training needs
? develop and update written directives in the production department and for use by the employees to include manufacturing guidelines, other technical and administrative policies and procedures as appropriate
? has responsibility for the budget, manpower requirements and control associated with the operation of his/her department in addition, has the responsibility to direct the completion of other capital and operating expenses which have been assigned to his / her area
? maintain and safeguard the intellectual property rights of the company
? support and advice the supply management in technical negotiations and alternative manufacturing methods
? initiate and lead improvement projects to reduce cost, improve quality and improve delivery accuracy
? lead the start-up of production of new product lines

Key Requirements:
? masters degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university
? knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of mechanical and electrical engineering
? knowledge of production engineering economic principles
? knowledge of effective management / production techniques
? minimum of five years of experience in a production manager position in a company with welding and assembly activities
? minimum of ten years of experience of mechanical / electrical engineering (production environment)
? fluent in verbal and written English
? start-up of production of new product lines
? measurable results achieved for cost reduction, quality improvement and delivery accuracy
? preferably experience from “western companies”
