Main Responsibilities:

Your mission as an employee of Atlas Copco Wuxi is divided into short-term objectives and long-term objectives. Such objectives are designed to empower Atlas Copco to develop and maintain markets for (High Pressure Piston Compressors) HPPC products, these products are mainly used in the handling of natural gas and or industrial gases. Markets are located primarily in China/Asia and also countries such as USA, Australia, North America.
1.) the short-term objective scope extend within the boundaries of design and product maintenance of existing designs (standard products and custom products) and products used in high pressure compression equipment, the short-term is also designed for the improvement of existing design in such a way production efficiency is optimized and serviceability of such machines are made easy, the duration of this term is one complete year, During a successful completion of this term you should have sufficient experience to be heavily involved on project orientated tasks.
2.) the long-term objective scope is defined under detailed projects, such details are defined by marketing hence it will contain technical, budget and time schedule targets that must be met. In such project your will participate in the design of compressors as well as foreseen the final product cost as well as the project budget and project time schedule. you will also foresee that new design are made to high standards such that the life cycle of the product is analyzed (design for safety, performance, assembly serviceability etc.). the nature of these projects include new designs dedicated for local and worldwide markets, localization of existing products (from other Atlas Copco product companies), and cost reduction projects.

Your responsibilities will include:
1.) The development and maintenance of HPPC products (standard products and custom products) which include but not limited to the HPPC compressors
2.) Apply your expertise and knowledge in mechanical engineering towards design of new products and the localization of existing designs with improved performance and optimized cost
(preparation of technical drawings/specifications, compilation of technical reports, lab tests of prototypes).
3.) Design “first time right” by designing for assembly (cooperation with production), designing for manufacturing (cooperation with suppliers), designing for service (cooperation with CTS) and designing for superior performance.
3.) Evaluate cost and quality of the designs. This is followed continuous quality improvement of all current products, combined with cost reduction projects.
4.) Release Design Notifications to introduce designs for prototyping and production, this is done by publishing complete Bill Of material following Atlas Copso system.
5.) Safeguard correctness of designs and their specifications through CAD (3D and 2D) and part lists.
7.) Continuous and strong interaction with the other design centers in the Atlas Copco Group, use same and agreed design & development process and development tools.

Main Requirements:

1.) At least 3 years experience with mechanical engineering preferably in high pressure equipment.
2.) Competence (proven experience) CAD system preferable Inventor and Auctocad
3.) Bachelor or master degree in mechanical Engineering, graduated in the field of equipment & compressors. 4.) You are a positive thinking; open minded team player with a strong interest to work in an international company.
5.) You are able to work independently and take initiative to learn. You are a good communicator and able to convince others to contribute to the realization of your projects.
6.) You see a challenge in every obstacle and have the ability to cope with pressure and setbacks.
