Mission
Responsible for all aspects of the design and engineering of all standard products of the Quality Air Division for the Product Company Atlas Copco Air & Gas Purification.


Job description

1/ Responsible for ensuring that designs meet master specification, are in compliance with applicable codes, and conform to Company standards for performance and safety.
2/ Implement and safeguard the processes CtP (Concept to Product, process for standard products development) to ensure all activities are in compliance with the company processes.
3/ Guide the engineering development process for the different projects. Set up a time frame taking the available resources and priorities into consideration. Respect to the set planning once the project plan is approved by the PCM (Product committee meeting). Represent projects at the PCM.
4/ Safeguard the quality of the design and make sure that all engineering employees know, master and respect the design rules and QA procedures.
5/ Work closely with Sourcing Dept. for sourcing of parts and provide sourcing engineers with the required technical information for localization and cost saving projects
6/ Provide continuing technical support for the assembly/production and quality processes.
7/ In close cooperation with the local CTS organization, lead the Product Maintenance team to continuously improve the quality , efficiency and reliability of the product in the whole product life cycle.
8/ To coach, support and guide an engineering team and ensure the continuous development and growth of the team members.




Experience requirements
1. Minimum 5 years product design and development experience in mechanical engineering, preferably 2 years managerial role in multinational production enterprise
2. Experience in coaching and project management is a must.
3. Superior knowledge and experience with compressed air systems will be a plus




Knowledge/Educational requirements

* University degree or above, major in mechanical engineering or related area.
* Solid understanding of Lotus Notes and MS Office. BPCS knowledge is an advantage. Familiar with Atlas Copco Group is an advantage.
* Good knowledge of FAM and offer Atlas Copco internal procedures.
* Fluent command of English. Command of Chinese is an asset.
