Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Send RFQ to suppliers, get quotations, do cost comparison etc. and give correct data and reports to purchasing management.

2. Work with technical departments (China and Australia) closely to help the supplier understand our technical, quality and delivery requirements.

3. Review of Kempe and other clients specifications

4. Make cost breakdown and benchmarking studies and negotiate with supplier to achieve best price and delivery.

5. Make contract and release PO from ERP system to suppliers and order follow up to ensure on-time delivery for production.

6. Make sure all the contract and quotations are well managed and documented and updated in a timely manner.

7. Daily supplier relationship management in terms of delivery, quality, cost, invoice and payment.

8. Develop and maintain a preferred supplier, rejected supplier and potential supplier data base to meet company's requirement.

9. Perform supplier evaluations around China

10. Expedite quality, schedule and conformance of suppliers for various periods of time

11. Risk management : make sure that we have backup suppliers for key materials or services

12. Compiling of manufacturers record books

13. To organize and conduct the supplier qualification and process quality audit.

14. Inspect suppliers product against Kempe drawings, specifications and requirements including

· Dimensions

· Welding quality

· Material compliance

· Blasting

· Painting

· Documentation

15. Ensure supplier recommendations are based on quotation analysis, benchmarking, cost simulation, quality, delivery, and legal considerations.

16. Monitor quality performance and follow-up supplier’s corrective action on quality claims by coordinating with relevant parties.

17. Support other assigned tasks.

Requirements：

1. University graduate, major in mechanical engineering.

2. Greater than 5 years sourcing or purchasing experience in traditional heavy mechanical manufacturing company.

3. ISO internal and external auditor certificate

4. Understanding of steel material grades, properties and chemical compositions

5. Knowledge of mechanical products including bearings, seals, gearboxes etc.

6. Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical products an advantage but not essential

7. Ability to read mechanical drawings and BOM’s

8. Understanding of manufacturing process an advantage

9. Knowledge of MS-Office.

10. Familiar with operation of ERP system for P/O handling

11. Very good written and oral communication skills in English.

12. Good negotiation and communication skill.

13. Integrity, self-motivated and good team player
