Direct report to: Plant General Manager

Role Purpose:
1. Ensure new product and programs are introduced in the business in the most efficient transition and commissioning process
2. Execute new product and programs flawlessly from a quality and delivery perspective
3. Ensure execution is of new product and programs are delivered in line with business process and safely

Responsibilities:
1. Participate as an active member of the new product development team and co-ordinate site specific activities
2. Manage the deviations to ensure FMEA/Control Plans are updated via ERN process
3. Analyse key milestones and activities required from a plant perspective to support the overall timing plan
4. Identify product risks to drive and generate open issues list from a plant perspective to ensure deadlines are met
5. Co-ordinate capability builds, AAR, trials (run @ rate) and feedback on improvements/action required
6. Ensure effective management of new product introduction from design concept to launch
7. Manage subcontractors to ensure timely completion of work with adherence to Futuris standards of work
8. Manage quality acceptance activities, ensure the advanced product quality planning (APQP) process is established, documented, implemented and followed according to TS16949 procedure.
9. Act as a trusted technical advisor to business units
10. Liaise with engineering regarding the introduction or management of current/existing parts
11. Maintain good communication within the company, customer and suppliers
12. Maintain program cost reporting against budget.

Qualifications
Bachelor degree or above in Engineering (Mechanical/Manufacturing) or related discipline, PMP certificate is a plus.

Experience:
1. At least 3 years experience in a similar role within a JIT environment
2. Solid Project Management experience
3. More than 8 years experience in auto parts manufacturing industry , experience in high volume manufacturing
Requirements:
1. Familiar with auto components manufacturing, knowledge of welding and assembler process
2. Good skills of business and negotiation
3. Strong communication skills, mature and responsible leader with the ability to both work in teams as well as to lead, drive and motivate teams
4. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
5. Understanding of automotive lean manufacturing systems and principles (i.e. TS16949, APQP, 5S, TPS)
6. Excellent project management skills
7. Strong Leadership & Change Management Skills
8. Fluent English both written and oral
