Direct report to: Accounting Manager in Shanghai

Responsibilities:

1. Provide timely and accurate monthly reporting on plant performance and highlight variances (profit & loss, balance sheet)
2. Posting of journal entries, Inventory, Payroll posting and reconciliation.
3. Complete up-load into Hyperion for monthly group consolidated report
4. Provide end of financial year data for statutory & management purposes
5. Control Balance Sheet and complete General Ledger Reconciliations
6. Ensure strong internal controls, i.e. PO/goods receipting, Payment process, Stock recording, BOM accuracy, CAPEX vs. OPEX)
7. Regularly review of the financial system to ensure accuracy and integrity of data
8. Co-ordination and development of inputs with operations for completion of the 18 month rolling forecast (P&L, Cash, and Balance Sheet)
9. Upload of forecast data into Hyperion & continuous improvement of the process
10. Ongoing maintenance and management of the Unit Cost Model (UCM)
11. Daily reporting of actual operational indicators (i.e. Labour performance, Stock variances, Sales, Aged Debtors and Creditors)
12. Prepare the Capex forecast & monitor cash flow timing, assist in preparation and approval of Capex requests (net cash flow, net present value, payback calculations)
13. Review useful life of capital, to ensure depreciation is accurate
14. Maintain the asset register, removing only when required with approvals

Qualifications:

1. Undergraduate degree in accounting related discipline
2. Preferred: CPA Qualification

Experience:

1. 5 years or above relevant experience, at least 2 years experience in a senior plant accounting role, within a similar industry
2. Must have experience within a manufacturing/plant environment
3. Demonstrated experience with management accounting concepts, (GP model, costing, Fixed Assets etc.)

Skills & Knowledge:

1. Ability to prepare and manage forecasts and budgets (manufacturing environment is a must)
2. Word / Excel – to an intermediate level
3. Preferred: Experience with Hyperion
4. Workable level of English
