Sandvik in Wuxi is seeking for a Product Manager-Mining, Oil & Gas

The product areas comprise Sandvik Hard Materials, Diamond Innovations, Wolfram and Sandvik Process Systems. In 2012 sales amounted to about 7,200 MSEK, with approximately 3,600 employees.

The position would directly report to BU Marketing Manager.

Key performance areas

Safety: The product manager is responsible to follow and apply in his/her department and activities Sandvik EHS directives.

Marketing: The regional product manager is responsible for regional business development of one (or more) application(s) / industry segment(s) by implementing the marketing plan and has the delegated responsibility from the BU Marketing Manager of the profit and loss for the accounts within the region. The key responsibilities are the following ( in coordination with the BU marketing manager):

·Customer selection

·Investigate and clarify Customer Quality inquiries, support the sales group, and refer to Quality Manager

·Product offering and sourcing

·Establish the product price structure for the accounts and co-ordination of BU pricing

·Product program and specifications, service levels, quality standards

·Service offer, including level of technical and application support from the BU and the sales organization

·Product planning and product development in coordination with R&D

·Operative management of the account network

·Sales support material and activities, trade shows and exhibitions

·Sales force training in product and application competence

·Provide feedback to BU Marketing Manager of field sales team

·Support BU Marketing Manager tasks at a regional level: market analysis, development of the marketing plan, support sales plans, forecast and budget processes.

Leadership: The regional product manager is responsible to lead and support his/her direct reports and to make sure that corporate- and local HR processes are followed. The product manager is responsible to promote Sandvik values, diversity & inclusion.

Your profile

·Education on university level preferably within marketing. Relevant leadership training

·Sales & marketing knowledge of product applications

·Experience in product management in a matrix organization in a global environment.

·Fluent in English and Mandarin both verbal and written.

·Strong customer focus ,business sense and open mind.

·Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to interact with stakeholders.

·Result oriented.

·Ability to travel is necessary.

As a person you are proactive, self-motivated and one with lot of initiative, courage and integrity and a business minded, result oriented attitude. You also have strong communication skills and can work in an English environment.
