Job Description:
To perform receipt inspection as well as in process and completed fabrications and accurately report on the results in accordance to the company QA & QC Manuals, company procedures, customer specifications, ASME code requirements, as well as any other state or federal requirements.

Responsibilities:
1. Ensure subcontractor’s perform proper in process monitoring and final inspections of the following:
a) Welder WPSs
b) Material tracking and transfer of heat numbers
c) Verifying information is transferred to route sheets accurately and in a timely manner
d) Weld quality
e) Verify the issuance of weld filler metal
f) Verification of fabrication to ensure that all applicable requirements are met

2. Identify issues that will affect the acceptance of parts and material from conforming to specifications and research solutions
that may allow the most cost effective solutions.(NCRs/CARs)

3. Verify subcontractors perform proper observation and validation to welder testing and qualification.

4. Escort visitors / owner representatives in the shop area as required.

5. Perform self- audits (non-official) of QC/QA documents to ensure documents are correct and up to date.

6. Verify subcontractors transfer heat numbers or assign traceability numbers as per the subcontractors QA program.

7. Ensure the safe keeping and retention of all QA documents.

8. Verify that the subcontracts follow and maintain calibration records for necessary equipment prior to use in inspection/testing.

9. Verify subcontractors identify areas, improve and develop WPS as required to keep flow of production.

10. Verify subcontractors identify the need for NDE with respect to code and project requirements and verify that NDE is performed according to approved procedures with approved personnel.

11. Assure all requirements as they relate to inspections for the appropriate ASME code, company and subcontractors QA & QC Manuals and procedures, customer specifications & policies, as well as local, district, province and central government codes and requirements, Chinese Pressure Vessel License (AMSE Section VIII "U" Stamp equivalent) and Safety License (ASME Section III "N" Stamp equivalent), ASME Section III, VIII, XI, NQA-1, 10CFR50 Appendix B, ISO 9001, etc.

12. Verify subcontractors acquire appropriate certifications for NDE inspections as deemed necessary by management to support each project, (i.e.: PT, MT, UT, RT, CWI, etc.).
