ROLE:

This position is responsible for whole scale of technical support to all product lines, as well as developing R&D issues and raising technical level of the organization as a whole. Responsible for technical support to all kinds of audit as well.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work as the technical expert of the company, lead the local technical teams to provide technical expertise & consultancy to all product lines;
2. Help local operation technical heads to review and supervise all testing and certification activities;
3. Work with local offices to develop new business and services to widen our service scope;
4. Oversee technical training to engineers so as to enhance technical competency or widen the scope of service of the offices;
5. Work as the technical auditor so as to maintain the quality management system according to the requirements of the accreditation bodies, and provide technical expertise for obtaining various accreditation;
6. Offer technical opinions on testing equipment & facilities selection;
7. Be aware of new testing standards/specification, procedures as well as its impact on our business;
8. Communicate with other regions on technical information and expertise exchange;
9. Handle special enquiries, requests and technical related complaints from clients & market;
10. Provide necessary support to various technical seminars within and outside organization;
11. On behalf of the company, be the representative sitting in various technical committees or associations, which are related to our core business functions;
12. Perform other job-related assignments as required;

KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES:

1. Qualified engineer with relevant formal education in electrical and electronic field and around 20 years relevant experience in testing and certification industry;
2. Very familiar with UL standards (especially with basic principles and basic standards);
3. Familiar with EN/IEC Standards and European Directives;
4. Excellent communication skills and capability of conversing effectively with other cultures;
5. Good presentation skills and ability to teach technical subjects;
6. Organized and detail oriented, good problem solving skills;
7. Ability to work well under pressure;
8. Critical thinking, active learning, and achievement oriented;
9. Take initiatives for innovation;
10. Good team work spirit and ability to manage multiple tasks;
11. Fluent in spoken & Written English;
12. Willing to travel.
