Main Tasks of the Job

• Receive enquiries from existing and potential customers and consults with customers to understand fully their requirements and product needs.
• Communicating with customers from the initial specification phase through to the product design freeze.
• To efficiently define concept proposals, technical specification, cost and manufacturing feasibility.
• Perform technical calculations related to stress, strain and stiffness and define tests to prove that design will meet the customer requirements.
• Determines product application solutions using a combination of experience of other products, manual calculation and computer programs. Provides solutions with existing products or variations or provides data to Product Design for a new product. Raises cost 6.Understanding the implications of detail design with respect to manufacturing methods and processes to enable cost/time effective product manufacture.

Key Eperience Required

• Degree level qualification in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
• 3D CAD experience (preferably Solidworks).
• Excellent communication and customer facing skills.
• Analytical skills and target orientated.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Full, current driving licence is required.
