Responsibilities:

1. Apply various methodologies to reduce product cost and improve profit margins
2. Enhance collaborative working environment with customer, suppliers and internal teams
3. Work collaboratively with the plant to proactively seek ways to reduce internal rejects and build issues
4. Manage team performance on a daily basis, and track progress against objectives
5. Effectively manage the resources of other teams involved in program delivery
6. Ensure effective resource management and optimisation across the Program Team
7. Manage commercial implications of customer design change requests
8. Support new business quote submissions for specific OEM (i.e. BOM input)
9. Ensure effective management of controllable and/or discretionary expenses
10. Provide accurate and transparent data to input into monthly reporting
11. Support the development and effective management of local customer relationships on a day-to-day basis
12. Ensure comprehensive understanding of the customers business processes & expectations, and communicate this information effectively to internal teams and stakeholders
13. Ensure sound understanding of internal and OEM project team capabilities (eg. personal capabilities, working styles)
14. Ensure customers advocate the relationship and promote Futuris for additional business opportunities

Qualifications:

1. Essential: at least bachelor in Manufacturing/Engineering or relevant discipline
2. Desirable: master in management or engineering related discipline
3. Desirable: Project Management qualification (PMP, APM, PMI)

Experience:

1. More than 5 years proven experience in a similar role within an Engineering/Program/Manufacturing Management within the automotive industry
2. Project Management experience on medium to large projects
3. Proven customer service and financial/commercial orientation

Skills & Knowledge:

1. Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office
2. Strong communication skills
3. Knowledge of OHSW&E standards and processes
4. Solid understanding of application of CAD systems
5. Sound understanding of automotive lean manufacturing systems and principles
6. Sound knowledge of Worksafe Quality systems (i.e. TS16949, APQP, 5S, TPS)
7.Strong Leadership & Change Management Skills
