Position: Supply Chain Manager
Department: Supply Chain
Reports to: Wuxi General Manager, Matrix with VP of Supply Chain
Location: Wuxi China
Travel: Job requires up to 75% travel

Purpose:
The Supply Chain Manager has several main functions with our operations and supply base. This position will work with our manufacturing site to support supplier improvements. This position also works closely with the GCM’s in coordinating the development and execution of the category strategies.

Nature & Scope:
This position is our main contact with all of our suppliers and must juggle priorities between working with suppliers on root cause corrective action, working with the GCM’s on execution of category strategies and providing valuable information on the supply chain landscape . This position will be tied closely with the Global Purchasing team, and our manufacturing site .

Dimensions:
Complete understanding of the supply base, our category strategies, our supplier performance issues and supplier development needs. Ability to align organization around supply chain priorities and communicate effectively to all levels of the organization. Ability to align and coordinate resources from multiple technical departments is critical to the success of this role, along with the ability to build trust and achieve commitment of suppliers.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Manage a team of SQE’s, Sourcing, Indirect Sourcing and Customs Specialist.
- Manage the proper usage of a global supplier scorecard for suppliers
- Manage suppliers’ capacity to support IMMI operations and global business growth.
- Manage IMMI’s assets (ex: tooling, machine, etc) at suppliers.
- Perform supplier audits (ex: Supplier Business Practices, Quality Audits, etc)
- Structured problem solving (CAR’s/8D’s/etc) with suppliers to achieve permanent RCCA
- Lead the Supply Chain team to develop suppliers’ quality, delivery and service to meet IMMI’s requirement and prevent any significant quality and/or delivery issues.
- Feedback to IMMI leadership, GCM’s, Suppliers and key stake holders as needed
- Escalate and/or effectively countermeasure metrics or projects that are off track
- Coordination and prioritization of available company resources
- Support IMMI corporate and team’s vision as a part of management team.
- Execution of Category Strategies and special projects / Ad hoc management requests

Education and Experience/Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related area with 7 – 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with automotive standards. Have at least 5 years’ relevant experience in the fields of project management, continuous improvement or quality management. A broad background in manufacturing processes and the ability to directly and indirectly lead and influence others is essential for the success of this position. Superior written and oral communication skills and the ability to manage multiple, conflicting priorities is required. Strong command of Chinese and English languages required.
