Job responsibility:
- Ensure effective use of system engineering resources.
- Set up and configure database/ICT system to cater for business requirements.
- Patch database/ICT system to ensure all known bugs and vulnerability are fixed.
- Backup storage/database tables to safeguard data from failure.
- Restore storage/database tables to restore system to a usable state during failures.
- Monitor storage/database tables to ensure that sufficient space is available.
- Archive storage/database tables to maintain a manageable amount of data in the system.
- Backup system files to safeguard files from failure.
- Restore system files to restore system to a usable state during failures.
- Management and deployment of Information Security measures and patches.
- Monitor database/ICT system performance to ensure that the system operates within defined thresholds.
- Manage batch queues to ensure batch jobs are executed as scheduled.
- Manage printer queues to ensure printers are printing as required.
- Manage security to ensure Information Security on database/ICT system is maintained.
- Plan disaster recovery measures and business continuity to ensure there is no single point of failure.
- Maintain database/server to maximize ICT Systems uptime.
- Train end users to enable them to use the developed ICT systems effectively.
- Evaluate development requests to ensure only value added developments are worked on
- Provide consultation services to best fit end user requirements.
- Analyze user requirements to determine feasibility of ICT system deployment.
- Design database/ICT system to meet end user requirements.
- Develop database/ICT system to fulfill agreed end user design.
- Test database/ICT system and coordinate UAT to ensure they work as intended and run optimally.
- Implement ICT system to start using the developed ICT system.
- Document ICT system to ensure that the functionality of the system is recorded.
- Generate periodic reports to meet business & operation requirements.
- Review ICT system to ensure they continue to work as intended and run optimally.
- Enhance ICT system to cater for changes in requirements and system optimization.
- Learn new ICT system management tools & techniques to deploy more stable system.
- Learn new development techniques to develop more efficient and effective systems.
- Work closely with IT Group on others project and application supports.

Job requirement:
- Bachelor of Computer Science or similar major
- Programming and scripting skills (Active Web Pages (Microsoft), Java, HTML), Database Administrator/management, Operating Systems (Unix, Windows) skills and Server Administration. Project and people management skill covering the whole System Development Life Cycle.
- Project management or operating experience
- 3-5 years related experience
- Good at English communication
