Description：

1. Ultimate ‘Make-Buy’ Stewardship of Operation Station category that meets EXD & enterprise goals

2. Develops Operation Station category strategy through : Define – Measure – Analyze VOC, VOB, NPV, TCO, RWA, capacity, # suppliers, EXD foot print, risk

3. Solidifies Operation Station category strategy / supply base selection on analysis with Global Purchasing counterparts and Cab ICT based on above analysis

4. Works with Supply Chain implementation team to execute plan at facility

5. Above applies to both Current Product and NPI

6. In all cases projects are chartered , led , recorded and maintained in Supply Chain Data Base by Category Team Leader until full implementation is achieved

7. Be responsible for capacity planning of “Make” parts under Operation Station Category

a. Determine and validate capacity data (Actual, Planned, Future, Concepted capacity) against ECCP/EPP.

b. Proactive engagement of stake holders (GP, CJL, CAT Inter plants) responsible for capacity planning and/or supplier administration to close capacity gaps and rectify constraints .

c. Assessment of “As-Is” supply chain do-ability to support special demand and/or alternate sourcing requests that arise from S&OP et al. Including evaluating all EPP exception requests for approval or not.

d. Develop allocation plan for HEX plants for critical components / parts when special demand-supply conditions require .

e. Proactive forward view supply chain planning for NPI phase out/ in and new/ expanding facility for responsible affected categories.

f. Maintain a visible One page synopsis of tier 1 / 2 category “critical path (s)” for area of responsibility and actions ongoing, planned and/or required to remedy.

Required skills:

1) Minimal Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain is required.

2) Minimal 5 year CAT or industry working experience

3) Proficient data analysis / compilation skills using Excel, PPT etc.

4) Strong leadership skill and people skill. Strong project management skill.

5) Strong communication skills. Fluent in written and oral English, experience working with WW teams.

6) Travel flexibility within country and internationally. Estimated 30% of travel time.

Desired Skills:

1. Technical manufacturing knowledge/experience on focus component category.

2. Supplier management skills/experience is desirable.

3. 6 Sigma experience (GB or BB) is desirable.
