Responsibilities:
1. Work with the Sales and Marketing Manager to develop strategies to ensure customer requirements are satisfied.
2. Coordinate internal and external resource to lead development of key new OEM accounts as well as growth of existing accounts. Ensure significant penetration/growth of the targeted customers;
3. Maintain daily sales database and report with customer satisfactions, ensure that sales activities are consistent with corporate procedure within the code of conduct policy.
4. Assistant commercial activities for sales personnel assigned to customer accounts;
5. Coordinate with supply chain to ensure OTD performance.
6. Coordinate with engineering on project management and new product launching.
7. Manage customer RFQ in a proper way with cross-function team.
8. Collect and analyze market and competitor information according to corporate procedure at required frequency.
9. Maintain a sufficient pipeline to ensure consistent sales performance.
10. Visually inspect components and prototypes, manufacturing equipment, manufacturing processes, finished goods and detailed drawings.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field.
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive sales, manufacturing or design engineering.
3. Demonstrated leadership skills and proficient in team building and conflict resolution;
4. Possess in-depth knowledge of products, engineering principles and specifications for assigned products;
5. Knowledge of engine programs for major automotive OEMs in the Asian region (typical Japanese customer is plus);
6. Excellent communication skills and presentation skills, capable for English (written is mandatory, reading/oral is less) and Japanese is plus.
7. Ability to provide written and verbal communications ranging from technical proposals, marketing strategies, customer presentations and to respond to customer inquiries;
8. Good interpersonal skills, empathy, rapport building skills; ability to interface well with a variety of people;
9. Ability to read and interpret very technical blueprints and concepts;
10. Good analytical skills; ability to develop graphs and charts and to perform cost quotations;
11. Ability to travel up to 50%.
