Essential Job Function:
1. Provide strong leadership in ensuring regulatory compliance with Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) laws and regulations, and in identifying, quantifying and minimizing risk for the Wuxi facility.
2. Monitor ITT and governmental requirements pertaining to ESH legislation, determine their applicability to the operation and take action to address applicable requirements.
3. Ensure that up-to-date regulatory /compliance legislation is maintained at the facility.
4. Develop, implement and provide ESH training and education programs and deliver ESH orientation to new hires.
5. Establish and maintain ISO14001 system and ITT ESHMS in Wuxi facility.
6. Assist ITT China ESH with the assigned responsibilities, such as regular internal audit, supplier performance evaluation, etc.

Accountabilities:
1. Recommend actions for complying with applicable existing and anticipated ITT ESH Policies, to include Value Center (China & India) ESH Policies, governmental laws and regulations and industry standards.
2. Assure appropriate applications, data, report, records and documentation are collected, prepared, submitted and maintained as required by ITT policy and government regulation. Become skilled in the use of ITTs on-line ESH metrics collection and analysis tool, MESH.
3. Monitor organizational compliance with ITT & government mandated activities.
4. Review plant projects for adequacy in meeting Industrial Hygiene & Environmental criteria.
5. Provide leadership and support to gain commitment and involvement of all plant personnel to ESH programs and measurements, with emphasis on ITTs new Safety Accountability program. Attributes include the development of employee-specific safety responsibilities, and risk assessment and program assessment activities through the collection and analysis of Key Performance Indicators.
6. Support the ITT Corporation ESH Audit program by preparing the Shenyang facility for the ITT audit, assisting management with preparing corrective actions to address audit findings and verifying completion of all actions in accordance with the action plan. Take part in ITT Corporation ESH Audits in the Asia/Pacific region, first as an audit team member and then as an audit team leader after sufficient training.

Assignment:
1. Keep all applications, data, reports, records, and documentation required by government regulation always updated.
2. Develop Wuxi Plant ESH Manual and improve it according to the real situation in the plant.
3. Develop ESH training programs including training materials and implement the training programs.
4. Participate in Standard Operation Procedure review and implementation.
5. Develop waste management system and implement it.
6. Develop and improve the Lock out & Tag out Procedure and improve means of Lock out & Tag out in the plant.
7. Act as secretary of the Safety Committee in the plant.
8. Complete incident/accident investigation and report, and ESH monthly report.
9. Provide personal protection equipment to staff as required.

Position requirement:

1. Education Level Required: Bachelor degree in environmental protection, safety engineering, industrial hygiene or chemistry, chemical engineering is acceptable.
2. Experience Required: Technical know-how and at least five years experience in ESH management.
3. Strong ability to work in a team and cross function cooperation
4. Strong analytical and negotiation skills required.
5. Well organized and good planning skills
6. Good communication skills (verbal and written English)
