Summary of Responsibilities

A Manufacturing facility in the Suzhou area is currently seeking a maintenance Engineer specialized at eletrical and instruments.

The maintenance Engineer coordinates, supervises, and participates in the certification, operation, maintenance, and improvement of all plant facilities systems including, electrical utilities, HVAC, building controls, gas delivery, gas scrubber, waste-water, telecommunications etc. Basic English verbal and written communication skills required.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in technical leadership and the ability to develop and implement standard engineering practices, as well as provide detailed documentation upon project completion. This person will be one of the project technical leaders and will be responsible for project management activities.


Duties and Responsibilities

Oversees the development of predictive, preventive, and reliability centered maintenance programs, including maintenance check sheets, maintenance logic decision trees, and predictive maintenance techniques and related engineering analyses.
Provides advice and consultation to staff relative to facilities engineering matters, including compliance with Chinese laws and regulations; Coordinates facilities engineering project activities with other departments and divisions.
Prepares, negotiates and administers contracts for specialized facilities maintenance work.
Oversees the maintenance and modification of computerized process control systems, maintenance management systems, the facilities change notice procedure, and manages capital projects
Reviews and comments upon engineering project work plans prepared by outside consultants for conformance to standards and specifications; prepares a variety of technical facilities engineering reports and analyses for presentation to management.
Recommends work equipment and maintenance standards, procedures and performance criteria for ongoing planned activities; helps define training needs for maintenance and operations personnel, such as technician skills enhancement, related to maintenance standards and procedures.

Education and Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline and at least 5 years industrial Facilities experience on eletrical and instruments.
Knowledge of engineering principles, practices, theories and technologies related to equipment controls, electrical/electronic systems and processes.
Knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance methods.
Knowledge of Chinese laws and regulations relating to maintenance of equipment, safety regulations, and safe work practices.
Possess demonstrated project management skills
Good English communication skills including spoken English and ability to read and write English.
Ability to work in a team environment.
