Summary:
Plans,coordinates,and directs the quality assurance program designed to ensure quality
production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Formulates and maintains quality assurance objectives ,SOPS and work instructions complementary to corporate policies and goals.
Interprets the quality assurance philosophy to key personnel in organization. Designs and implements quality assurance training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.
Performs quality reviews and Quality System audits of design documentation and actual practices of production personnel for compliance with stated requirements.
Reviews all data obtained during all quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company objectives.
Plays an active role on quality management teams within the organization. Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimal quality within limits of equipment capability.
Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities. Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during
quality assurance activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
Provides input on whether to accept a product or continue business with a vendor based on a capability studies and conducts vendor audits. Co-ordinates and controls vendor issues.
Maintains a working knowledge of industry quality assurance standards.
Investigates customer complaints regarding quality. Co-ordinates data/analysis of field returns. Manages corrective and preventive actions.

Manages the test lab.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Participates or leads project/task teams in process mapping,fail-safeing and problem
solving.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with 150 9000 quality systems required. Certification from a Society of Quality Engineers is encouraged.

Language Skills:
Ability to read,a n a I y z e ,and interpret general business periodicals , professional journals , technical procedures , or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports ,business correspondence,and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers,clients and customers.Ability to read and write English.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and the practical application of each to real-life.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems , collect data , establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatical form.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully , an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word
Processing software.
