GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals.
? Support senior leadership in defining and communicating clear responsibilities for environmental, health and safety performance requirements.
? Provide leadership, support and technical guidance to the plant leadership team, to assure programs are developed and effectively implemented providing safe and healthy working environments for employees across Wuhu & Dalian plant, and to protect the environment from the adverse effects of environmental contaminates and hazardous wastes.
? Develop and implement EHS and support the development and grow of a strong safety culture in the plant.
? Manage the environmental, health and safety compliance and management system functions and activities.
? Maintain communications with Corporate Environmental Health and Safety colleagues and actively contribute to the direction and content of Tower’s Corporate EHS programs.
? Develop and lead initiatives to assess and minimize workplace risks and work with senior management, plant managers, department managers, supervisors and colleagues to integrate safety into daily work activities.
? Provides assistance and guidance to plant management and supervision to identify and correct workplace hazards consistent with company and regulatory requirements.
? Guide activities to implement change in the design of machinery and equipment and work methods to provide safe and productive work cells.
? Be responsible for ensuring the environmental, health and safety team has the necessary tools and materials to properly perform their roles effectively and efficiently.
? Organize and provide coaching to site colleagues and management in order to help them understand EHS compliance requirements and policies
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
? A Bachelor’s degree in a safety related field or environmental science, or equivalent experience
? A minimum of five (5) or more years experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
? Safety or safety related professional certification (preferred).
? Specific knowledge in several environmental, health and safety processes and practices and legal requirements, ergonomics, ISO 14001, etc.
? Excellent organizational, analytic and communication skills.
? Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
? Strong problem resolution skills, along with customer service and team orientation skills.
? Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills.
? The ability to work well with others in a team environment.
? Experience working in a joint venture environment.
? Must be prepared to frequent travel throughout China, and travel to abroad.
? Passion to achieve world class EHS performance.
? Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
? Good communicator, both in Chinese and English.
