职位描述：
BROAD FUNCTION & OBJECTIVES:

? Responsible for Sealy’s Strategic Raw Material sourcing operations in China for our global and domestic Chinese business units.

? Responsibility for the identification, qualification and selection of high quality raw material suppliers for all raw material categories.

? Responsible for pricing negotiations and management of domestic and international logistics of China sourced raw material purchases.

? Responsible for ensuring suppliers strict adherence to our global raw material quality standards for all raw materials and all shipments.


OUTCOMES:

1. Raw Materials Specifications – Ensuring that all raw materials are specified in full, in writing, according to our General Specifications Manual.

2. Supplier Integrity – Ensuring that all raw materials are purchased from fully qualified suppliers, capable of providing high quality products on time.

3. Documented Supply Arrangements – Maintenance of a fully documented tendering process for all suppliers; including written terms and conditions of supply.

4. On-time Delivery – Ensuring the on-time delivery of all raw materials.

5. Cost– Ensuring the best possible pricing for products that meet or exceed our minimum quality standards.

6. Quality- Ensuring that all raw materials supplied to our business units meet or exceed our minimum internal quality standards for all product categories on all shipments.



PROCESSES TO ACHIEVE OUTCOMES:

1. Supplier identification & qualification – Ongoing research, evaluation and communication with existing and potential suppliers for every raw material.

2. Raw Material Specification Database – Regular updating & maintenance of a comprehensive raw material specification database, including regular contact with all suppliers.

3. Maintenance of Tender & Contracting Documents – Ensuring that all tendering is conducted in an open, fair, and transparent way and that all supply contracts are fully documented to Sealy’s required standard.

4. Logistics Management– Working with our logistics suppliers to ensure that all shipments are:
? Processed accurately according to approved purchase orders
? Shipped on time at the least cost
? Processed without any lost or damaged goods in transit

5. Supplier Quality Management – Ensure that all qualified suppliers adhere to or exceed our quality standards for all shipments across all raw material categories.

6. Internal Relationships / Communication- Work with the China Operations Manager and China logistics team to share resources and ensure quality outcomes.

Also ensure clear, consistent and timely communications with Purchasing Managers in our other Global business units.

The Essential and Preferred requirements for the position – Purchasing Manager are -

1. Essential
? Education - Bachelor degree above
? Fluent in written and spoken English.
? 5 years experience in a senior purchasing role for a Multinational Corporation. Demonstrated ability to achieve successful outcomes.

? Skills (must be demonstrable) -
? Written Presentation;
? Verbal Presentation;
? Can work in a team;
? Can develop a team of people.
? Attitude - Wants to be hands on;
? Interested in all aspects of business, but with an emphasis on strategic raw material sourcing.
? Values - Honesty and Integrity.

2. Preferred
? Education -Tertiary qualifications in business, engineering or strategic procurement (or equivalent).
? Experience -3-5 years experience as a Strategic Purchasing Manager (or equivalent) for a Multinational Organisation in China.
? Skills - Can lead and develop a team of people.
