OVERVIEW:
Production supervisor is a critical role for K2 to implement the lean production system and achieve the expectant production target and guarantee SSAB defined quality level.
The production supervisor should do the work according to the codes of conduct such as:
1. Production Safety Law of the PRC(01/11/2002)
2. Fire Prevention Law of the PRC(29/04/1998)
3. Code of Occupational Disease Prevention of PRC
4. On Road Traffic Safety Law of PRC (28/10/2003)
5. Labor Law of PRC(26/11/1998)
6. SSAB Occupational H&S Policies
7. ISO 9001
8. OHSAS18001
9. Information security policy
10. Sustainability policy

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The production supervisor is responsible for supervising working safety in workshop according to SSAB APAC safety polices, rules and regulations.
The production supervisor work close with production operators on daily safety work, daily production schedule, and handle daily deviation during production.
During daily work the production supervisor should report to the production manager about production status, equipments status, operators working conditions and other issues during production.
The production supervisor should always review the workload, work allocation for overall operators, and conduct the monthly work efficiency evaluation and yearly performance review.
In order to have a smooth and effective production flow and follow the production planning, the production supervisor need work together and coordinate with production planner to achieve the defined product quality level and handle the daily quality deviation.
The production supervisor should have a good understanding for SSAB APAC quality system and work close with quality coordinator to implement TPM and guarantee the equipment performance.
The production supervisor should cooperate and work together with maintenance staffs on maintenance issues.
The PD Supervisor will also responsible for:
1. Staff safety education training, daily safety management according to SSAB APAC safety polices, rules and regulations
2. Continuous improvement of work safety with eliminating potential safety risk
3. 5S ,Autonomous Management implementation , coaching and supervising
4. Coordinate and cooperate for TPM implementation
5. Production consumable planning and budget, Continuous improvement for production cost saving
6. Develop the daily work with SSAB One as a base/foundation and coaching staff for SSAB One
7. Plan and conduct necessary training and coaching for staff according to production demand
8. Planning and budget for mechanical spare parts and consumables according to the facilities condition
9. Responsible for maintain the firefighting apparatus for production area.
10. Coordinate work for safety assessment of working process and work place
11. Special equipment management
12. Coordinate work for building up emergency solution for failure and emergency case (gas leakage, firefighting......)
13. Support purchase department with technical when purchasing new equipment. Responsible for technical part

KEY COMPETENCIES:
Excellent coordinator
High ability for communication and staff management
Experience for manufacturing engineering system ( production module of ERP)
Experience on CI system and lean production tools
Experience on TPM
Good English skills and ability to communicate both verbally and in written forms and project management skills
Ability to document in writing and to structure complex issues
Result oriented
Team spirit and excellent coordinator
Customer (internal/external) focus

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor degree in relevant areas with at least 8 years' experience for production area and at least 3 years production supervisor experience.
Need to be self-motivated, and able to work independently.
English and Mandarin is a must.
Documented experience in a start-up and green field environment
Steel /metal business experience in beneficial
Experience working in an international environment
Familiarity with legal file related occupational safety and health
Familiarity with ISO 9001/14001, OHSAS18001
