Job Location: Shanghai

Job Responsibilities:
1. Prepare, review, and negotiate, RFQs, contracts, agreements, letters and other legal documents subject to acceptable level of risks.
2. Support on corporate matters
3. Develop, update, introduce, and implement appropriate standard legal documentation and contracts for Tenneco China’s normal ongoing business;
4. Introduce and implement existing global policies and guidelines with respect to legal, risk management and related matters;
5. Formulate and conduct legal training in China;
6. Provide other legal support for all operations in Tenneco China, including but not limited to the commercial organization, manufacturing sites and supply chain, engineering centers, and all functional departments.

Qualifications:
1. Minimum 4-5 year legal professional experience in a reputable law firm practicing corporate law
2. Experience as in-house counsel in the China offices of a MNC would be a plus
3. Solid understanding of PRC laws with pragmatic mindset
4. Fluent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese
5. The candidate should (i) be comfortable working independently, (ii) have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and (iii) have experience in negotiating and drafting commercial agreements such as service, supply and logistics contracts, real property contracts and the like.
