This position is in the Virtual Prototyping group of Synopsys. It is focused on pre-sales & deployment of industry leading solutions for SoC architecture design and embedded software development.

The FAE is expected to tightly collaborate with Sales and interact with customers; Typical technical sales activities includes technical discovery meetings, analysis of customers’ prototyping requirements, identification of customer specific value of a Synopsys solution, product demonstrations, solution presentations, evaluations and benchmarking.

The FAE is also responsible for deployment activities including product training, support for general product usage, technical issue resolution and managing and tracking issues reported by customer. The FAE will sometimes be involved in creation of statements of work, oversee specification and /or implementation of customized prototyping environments, and perform proof-of-concept modeling and library development.

In addition, the FAE will provide field input to engineering and marketing for product development, promote Synopsys technology in trade shows and continuously seek to update their knowledge and understanding of Synopsys Virtual Prototyping solutions, relevant markets and technologies.

qualifications include BS (MS preferred) in EE or CS and 3+ years experience in a customer facing role related to SoC design, IP Deplyment and/or embedded software development.
Candidates must have proficiency in C/C++ programming on Unix or Windows, knowledge of SOC architectures and software development tools, familiarity with hardware description languages and with overall design flow and tools.
Candidates must be independent and proactive, possess strong communication skills, and have the ability to learn quickly. The role requires travel (about 25% of the time).
Desired qualifications include 5+ years EDA/Hardware IP/Embedded Software industry experience including experience in an FAE role.
Experience with ARM processors, SystemC TLM2, embedded software development or systems engineering is a strong plus.
