Role&Responsibilities

- The Interior Design Manager shall lead and co-ordinate the internal flow of information regarding interior design. He/She needs to collect the necessary information from other functions in the project team (project manager, construction, leasing) as well as functional departments (Property, Marketing, Legal and Finance).

- The IDM shall lead and co-ordinate the interior consultant team. The collected internal information needs to be compiled into briefs to the consultant team. The IDM shall co-ordinate all the information while the Project construction manager is responsible for the technical content in the design.

- Secure that the commercial design by BDP is implemented into the interior design. The IDM shall guard the concept and prevent that technical aspects will affect the commercial aspect.

- Control that the interior design team has implemented China GB code with special attention to Fire code. The IDM shall assist when needed, the DM in necessary negotiations with the authorities.

- Optional: The IDM shall support when necessary the design manager in the procurement process of the consultants related to interior design. The Project manager and the design manager can appoint the IDM as package leader in the procurement process.

- Optional: The Design Manager (project) can delegate specific tasks according to the Project Steering Agenda (PSA), see below. This is a project specific decision and needs to be liaised with the project manager.

Functional layout
- Vertical & horizontal communication

- Customer flow - inside & outside building
- Traffic signage

- Garbage handling
- Car flow
- Detailed shop location plan (floor plan)

Good practice guide
- Good practice guide technical and commercial design

Family friendly concept
- Family friendly shopping centre
- Drawings, descriptions of how the mandatories are implemented
- Drawings & description of which non mandatory family friendly items to be implemented
- Location of "Kids corner" - playground (rules and guidelines)

Optional: The DM (project) can delegate specific tasks from the following manuals
(The Project leader is overall responsible to the Steering group for the implementation of all manuals)
- Strategic principles
- Family friendly Concept manual (input should be given by operation)
- Food & Beverage manual (input should be given by operation)
- Shop front handbook (Project specific to be developed by each project)
- Global signage manual + Addendum for IICG China.


Qualifications

Knowledge& Background:

- University degree in architecture or interior design
- >5 years experience in the field of interior design
- Work experience with foreign architect firms
- Commercial project experience

Nice to have:
- Work experience from LDI
