职位描述

Overview:
To sustain and provide continuous support and service delivery for Tenneco’s high quality WAN, LAN and Network Security infrastructure. These activities include but are not limited to network technology (network architectures LAN and WAN, TCP/IP, switches, routers, network protocols, wireless, voice and data) and Network Security (Firewall, Proxy, Policies, Intrusion Detection/Prevention). Standard and globally used networking equipment includes: Cisco Routers and Switches for LAN / WAN and Checkpoint Firewalls for VPN’s, DMZ. This includes the Vendor Management of external service suppliers.

The Function:
A technical support person for networking technologies (voice and data) utilized within Tenneco. This technical resource and his/her experience are used in a variety of support, maintenance and project types of work. Perform day-to-day configuration, troubleshooting, and support. This position works closely with internal and external customers regarding network and network security related issues. Uses the Tenneco Incident management System to handle and resolve Service Desk tickets. The schedule is 40 hour work schedule (M-F) with some occasional off-hours coverage to provide on-call support. The Service Specialist will also support the product standard setting and architectural solution design activities. This individual will be responsible for providing level 2 support as well as troubleshooting for network and network security solutions in both on-premise and cloud based configurations.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership for the development and maintenance of the tools, processes and procedures needed to provide secure networks as well as handle support activities associated. These activities include, but are not limited to Network Security (Firewall, Proxy, Policies, F5 Load Balancers, Encryption technologies, Audits and Intrusion Detection/Prevention).

Responsibilities:
1. Assess the quality and performance of the global network infrastructure (WAN and LAN) and its constituent systems to drive continuous improvement.
2. Leading and reporting on “post mortem reviews” in case of infrastructure failures and developing improvement plans for approval by management.
3. Effective execution and promotion of adherence to established core processes within the Service Delivery and Operations teams (Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management).
4. Manage contracts with suppliers and partners managing these to ensure compliance with the contractual terms and conditions and service level agreements.
5. Mentor Client Service Support and Level 1 personnel to ensure maximum first line resolution for IT and security related incidents.
6. Promote and participate in the development of end-user awareness training.
7. Develop and document detailed instruction to install and upgrade the iOS and hardware products within the Service or Project delivery.
8. Evaluate, test, document and recommend enhancements/changes to the current IT Infrastructure Architecture.
9. Configure, install and deploy infrastructure security systems and software.
10. Rotation 2nd Level on-call support 24x7. Remote and on-site support required solving critical problems in a timely fashion. Maintain expert knowledge on common-used concepts, practices and procedures within the domain of expertise.
11. Assess the likelihood and impact of potential technological/human vulnerabilities and recommending appropriate actions.
12. Problem determination and resolution during Service Launches, and post implementation
13. Developing strategies to keep environments up-to-date as required.
14. Maintain close relationship with product vendor to maximize product benefits for Tenneco.
15. Actively train, coach and transfer product knowledge to the organization (both technically as functional).

Education:
Higher education

Work Experience:
+ 4 or more years in directly relevant practical experience in network (LAN and WAN) procedures and hardware, information security best practices, both on policy and infrastructure level.
Experienced with various security technologies and concepts like firewalls, IPS’es, routers, switches.
Voice network (telephony) experience a plus.

Certificates:
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
CCSE (Checkpoint Certified Systems Engineer)
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
