Job Description and Requirements
Responsible for designing, developing,troubleshooting, or debugging software programs. Develops software tools
including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databasesand internet-related tools, etc. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.


Experience in programming software for
operating systems, utilizing machine assembly and/or job control languages, andsome knowledge of software capabilities. Designs algorithms and data structures. Experience on development of complex software projects, familiarity with C/C++ coding, and a strong background in data structures and algorithms. Has strong desires to learn and explore new technologies and demonstrates good analysis and problem-solving skills. Prior knowledge and experience of CAD tool
development are required.


Typically requires a minimum of 3+ years of related experience. Possesses a full understanding of specialization area plus
working knowledge of multiple related areas. Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions. Performs in project leadership role. Contributes to complex aspects of a project. Receives little to no instructions on day-to-day work, occasionally receives general instructions on new assignments and projects. Determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is independent and collaborative in nature. Provides regular updates to manager on project status. Represents the organization on business unit and/or company-wide projects. Guides more junior peers with aspects of their job. Frequently networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.

Job Description
Synopsys is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive bookings from new and existing customers.
This individual contributor must be a proven sales executive in the software tools arena with demonstrated experience exceeding quota selling complex solutions to engineering development teams.
Major Responsibilities:
-Drive revenue within key new accounts within the territory. Identify, prospect, and qualify new opportunities
-Work closely with marketing and take advantage of their programs to maximize new opportunities, develop existing opportunities, and solidify customer relationships
-Manage existing accounts for satisfaction, return on their investment, growth, and renewal
-Manage complex sales cycle, including mapping out of sophisticated accounts, development of high level relationships, planning and executing sophisticated account strategies, and development of business cases
-Work within established Synopsys sales guidelines, practices, and processes, leverage the assets that Synopsys has developed. Fill in the gaps as necessary
-Work as a member of the North American sales team. Collaborate, share your account knowledge, learnings, and best practices to help your teammates

Requirements:
-The demonstrated ability to manage a complex sales cycle with significant business and technical components. The ability to develop and present a meaningful ROI presentation to justify the cost of your product
-Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed quotas selling a technical solution to a technical audience
-An understanding of the software development process and of the challenges that software engineers, managers, and executives face on a daily basis
-Experience using common sales and business tools: Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office suite, etc.
-Smart, creative, energetic, conscientious, and enthusiastic persona with strong problem solving skills
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
-Enjoy fast-paced, energetic environment. Entrepreneurial and results oriented.

Job Responsibilities:

Manages the sales of IP products by leading a team of IP product solution sales in China. Develops sales strategies and implement them to accelerate and grow IP business. Has good leadership, inter-personal, verbal, and written communication skills. Able to multi-task, be organized and detail-oriented. Able to interact with people with different personality styles. Responsible for hiring, coaching, motivating and developing China IP sales tea. Advises senior management on specialized technical or business issues. Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to obtain results. Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on difficult matters concerning several functional areas, multiple business units, and/or customers. Key relationships with important customers and vendors have been developed. Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.

Requirements:
-10 + years of successful sales experience with 5+ years of IP, EDA or related industry experience. 3+ years of sales management experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
-Requires good knowledge of IC design cycle, strong communication skills and understanding of the complete IP/EDA sales cycle. Must have the ability to interact with corporate executives, engineering management and financial personnel on high level sales calls.
-Mush have ability to grasp extremely technical data and communicate with a broad range of technical and non-technical people. Requires understanding of the semiconductor industry/software design and development. Must understand large business organizations and their buying cycles.
-Must be a self-starter and strong closer with a well-developed multi-tasking ability. Must have proven ability to successfully manage sales in a demanding high-growth, field sales office environment. Requires demonstrated ability to plan and execute sales plans to achieve or exceed desired sales goals. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are essential in order to succeed.
-Education: BS EE/ CS preferred. Other degree with appropriate industry experience may be acceptable. MBA or advanced degree is a plus but not required. Superior English language skills are required with the ability to express ideas well in writing and in conversation.
