Description:
Director, Asia-Pacific Regional General Counsel serve as the company’s legal representative, leader and driver in the Asia-Pacific region.

Working closely with corporate legal subject matter experts, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and driving legal strategy within the Asia-Pacific region and directing all related legal matters including:

? Commercial and customer transactions
? Intellectual property protection and related matters
? Litigation strategy and management
? Subsidiary and affiliate corporate governance risk and compliance management (including local regulatory compliance)
? Employment law matters
? Corporate and community affairs
? Mergers and acquisitions
? Lead the Company’s anti-piracy campaign, including managing outside counsel in litigation against software pirates and infringers.

He/she will form a close partnership with regional leaders to support and influence business dealings and strategies and will define, develop and manage all outside counsel relationships in the region.


Requirement:
The successful, experienced applicant should possess:
? 10+ years of high quality legal experience and an established track record of executive leadership.
? Strong management experience, including management of both internal and external counsel.
? Business and legal management experience.
? Strong negotiating skills, complex analytical and problem solving skills and the proven ability to exercise sound business judgment in a variety of situations.
? Leadership credibility evidenced by operating at all levels of an organization, internally and externally.
? Ability to manage large, complex projects across multiple organizations and geographies.

Education
? Qualified Attorney (or comparable) with a law degree.
