RBS Project Engineer(RBS PE)
Authorization
- Report to RBS General Manager.
Profile
- Establish and carry out project plans with suppliers.
- Do adjustment on project plans while discrepancy occurs in order to make project operation go back to right ways to reach project targets on time.
- Manage production,delivery status in suppliers to reach targets of delivery.
- Manage quality in whole process to meet Ropeblock quality requirements.
- Drive continuous improvements in suppliers' process until quality problems are solved entirely.
- Support suppliers technically for Ropeblock projects.
Tasks
- Establish written project plans in details with suppliers.
- Carry out and monitor the plans' operation frequently.If discrepancy occurs,to solve the problems ASAP.
- Check the part of technical descriptions and the drawing numbers/drawing revisions on new orders to suppliers.
- Set up and maintain delivery status sheets of suppliers.
- Coordinate key points of delivery between Ropeblock Holland and suppliers.
- Control production and delivery status of suppliers in details by emails, to RBS GM,RB Purchaser and other specified people in this loop.
- Drive suppliers to finish inspections for new samples,batch products on time.
- Do inspections by itself for new samples,batch products on dimensions,mechanical property and other necessary inspections in written reports according to RBS inspection procedure.
- Do factory audits on site in suppliers periodically in TS audit reports according to Ropeblock TS standards.
- Analyze,identify root causes of quality problems(including DMR) made by suppliers in SCAR reports.
- Help suppliers understand that the DMR problems are caused by themselves.
- Drive suppliers efficiently to finalize SCAR with solid improvements with technical support of RBS Manufacturing Engineer.
- Support suppliers with clear explanations on technical standards, drawings, procedures on new samples development,batch production.
- Frequent travel to suppliers.
- Monthly report to RBS GM.
Responsibilities

- Responsible to coordinate with suppliers that their shipment plans can meet Ropeblock delivery requests.
- Assure that suppliers produce qualified products for Ropeblock under Ropeblock requests.
- Reach targets of quality by driving suppliers to make continuous progress in the process.
- Responsible to support suppliers technically to keep the projects going ahead on correct direction.
Skills
- With solid knowledge of casting technics.
- Capable of QA and technical support independently.
- Well-organized people.
- Good team-working spirits.
- Good English skills.Writing,reading,translation skill are the must.Speaking skill is preferable.
- Fluent computer skill for office work.
Experience
- Learn casting technics in university,Bachelor Degree or above.
- At least 8 years working in foundries as an engineer or a technical position above engineer.During the period of engineering career,at least 5 years as an engineer to be responsible for casting technical process design of castings.
