Purpose of job:
To promote and ensure quality teaching and effective learning of English
To support the wider aims of Giraffe English School and its educational values mission
Context and environment:
The Giraffe English School- Wuhan Center is a large center, teaching a range of preschool and primary young learners' courses. The working week is normally Tuesday to Sunday with a Monday weekend, the actual working schedule and hours will be adjusted depending upon operational requirements. Working hours are likely to involve regular evenings up to 2000 and 0900-1700 on Saturdays and Sundays.
Accountabilities:
Support Giraffe English School's global English strategy by
-delivering teaching to the highest standards of ELT
-enhancing Giraffe English School's reputation as a world authority in ELT
-continuing professional development and sharing of best practice
Responsibilities:
-ensuring teaching meets learners needs and expectations
-ensuring teaching meets Teaching Quality Control and organizational expectations
-maintaining good relationships with customers and colleagues
-supporting the teaching center's activities and Giraffe English School plans
Required Qualifications:
?Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
?Holding internationally recognized TEFL or TESOL certification would be a preferance.
?English language fluency including but not limited to: proper grammar, sentence structure, word tense, subject-verb agreement, and proper use of adjectives and adverbs
?Demonstration of a neutral accent, clear pronunciation, good intonation and English language rhythm
?A passion for educating young learners and a keen interest in their development
?Ability to command the attention of large groups of children in an engaging and compelling manner
?Energetic, enthusiastic, animated approach to storytelling and delivering content to learners
?Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-change work environment
?Professionalism in oral and written communications
?Customer-service oriented with creative problem solving skills
?Ability to relocate to China for a 12 to 15-month contract
