The successful candidate will work with Engineering and third party vendors to develop automation solutions for ESI products sold in China. This role requires an understanding of best practices in factory automation and the ability to act as liaison between US based Systems Engineering and China based third party automation suppliers. Effective communication skills are essential.

The successful candidate will be expected to take a leadership role in the successful development, deployment and support of automation solutions to customers in China. This requires careful planning and the ability to manage third party vendors to deliver to a requirements specification. The candidate will be expected to interface directly with customers to understand and document their factory automation requirements and constraints.

Job Requirements
? Liaison between Engineering and third party automation vendors.
? Interact with vendors and customers frequently to provide information and collect feedback.
? Participate in concept development of automation systems.
? Test developed automation solutions.
? Support installation and field issues regarding automation.


Preferred Experience
? Experience in automation motion control using PC or PLC or Robots is required.
? Mechanical Engineer with minimum of 5 years of design experience with actuation (motors, pneumatics, mechanisms) and sensors is required.
? Hands on experience of system build, test, and installation is required.
? Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and field support is a plus.
? Capital equipment industry experience is a plus.
? Mass consumer product industry experience is a plus.


Engineering Skills
? 3D CAD modeling and design mechanical systems.
? Understanding manufacturing processes.
? Understand electrical schematics diagram.
? Understand controls theory and timing diagram.


Personal Skills
? Positive attitude and open minded.
? Responsible.
? Willing to travel 50% (local China).


Language Skills
? Chinese: Fluent verbal and written Chinese (Mandarin).
? English: Good verbal and written English.
