Job Responsibilities:

- Proactively support global commodity buyer and program buyer to source the parts to Low Cost Countries (LCC) suppliers to reach the saving objectives

· Prepare LCC RFQ package and get the quotations from the bidders for both awarded project and pursuit project

· Estimate target price and lead cost breakdown analysis

· Launch RFQ process and review the quotations from LCC suppliers to ensure the alignment with our requirement

· Participate the periodically commodity or program meetings hosted by global commodity buyer and program buyer.

· YOY price reduction negotiation with LCC suppliers

· Create and follow up of LCC commodity bid-list with SPE team

· Work together with operational purchasing on supplier delivery/quality issues when escalation is need

- To support to establish a commodity strategy by:

· Working out supplier panels for LCC region – commodity strategy(Market analysis, customer needs, Visteon product/industrial strategy etc)

· Centralizing and analyzing the critical information for the key LCC suppliers and liaise with global commodity buyer to ensure alignment on strategy and communication to the supplier

- Coordinate the application of strategy in LCC countries (migration planning, negotiation volume/price, quota definition by, establish case by case based on local constraints.

· Negotiations with/without the support of his manager for all the sub commodities

· Communicating internally the information relevant to LCC sourcing (business award, long term agreements, capabilities etc.

· LTA negotiations, quick savings/nomination fees

- To build/propose a purchasing strategy for the commodities under his responsibility aiming to improve the Visteon competitiveness by:

· Knowledge of potential LCC supplier market

· Analyze the company leverage on the market (future and current needs) and identification of the company dependencies or weakness.

· Undertaking technical productivity actions and follow up with the LCC suppliers and lead internally the support of other functions

- To support global commodity buyer to optimizing his purchasing performance by:

· Experience exchange, share best practices or local market trends.

· Improving the negotiation leverage through the globalization of needs

· General search of new technology sources, potential risk assessment on the present and future technologies

· Propose VA/VE actions linked to LCC supplier field of responsibility

- To ensure the best need specification integration by:

· Raw material/process recommendation involvement

· Managing the new raw material and/or new source validation

Qualification Requirements:

- Bachelor or above degree majored in appropriate discipline or equivalent experience, Specialization in automotive engineering or plastics material preferred, MBA is a plus.

- 10/12 years in automotive purchasing (Sourcing Dept)

- Be familiar with the market, customer needs, key cost drivers, and apply company rules (Payment terms, Cash management, risk assessment, quality Procedures etc.

- Deep knowledge in sourcing activities for Exportation (Cost structure, packaging, logistic, duties.)

- Be familiar with Automotive & Quality Systems such as ISO9000, QS9000 and ISO/TS16949

- Very organized and excellent coordination capability among the suppliers and company cross functional teams globally

- Project lead time driving orientation, action planning & execution towards targets

- Proactive, open mind, and quick learning capability

- Must be willing to travel on the monthly basis

- Excellent communication capabilities on both oral and writing English
