JOB SUMMARY：

Drive the continuous improvement in term of Health Safety & Environment (HSE): perform risks assessment, ensure the plant compliance with corporate safety standards, implement and maintain the Safety Management System, improve safety performance (LTA,WLTA), and ensure that plant HSE policies and procedures are applied and aligned with governmental regulations.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP：

The Safety Manager reports directly to the Plant Director and dotted line to the Manufacturing Excellence & Safety Manager of the Asia Region.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS：

·Drive the good application, understanding of Inergy safety standards and procedures

·Perform safety audits, risks assessment and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance

·Facilitate a work environment that supports a safe and healthy culture

·Investigate accidents (LTA, WLTA, First aids), near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities

·Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices

·Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as Fire drill, First aids, Safety risks analysis, Log-out Tag-out, safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment

·Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes

·Conduct new employees HSE Induction

·Coordinate employee safety programs to determine their adequacy including review of short and long term strategic safety planning and development

·Lead deployment of INERGY Safety Management System inside the plant

·Implement and maintain internal process IQSR, and internal Safety Management System

·Assist the plant to attain and maintain OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001

·Implement other plants best practices to improve Safety. Integrate external benchmarking coming from other companies

·Participate actively in the ASIA SAFETY committee. (Monthly sharing). Interface with the ASIA Manager of Manufacturing Excellence and Safety

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES：

·Demonstrates leadership skills

·Drives change both in processes and the people that execute them

·Strong problem solving skills – experience in 5 Why, 8D, and PDCA methods a plus

·Strong influencing skills and ability to motivate people: especially in non-direct reporting relationships

·Ability to interact effectively within all levels of the organization (hourly, management, and executive levels)

·Demonstrates good understanding of machine regulations and equipment logic.

·Very Strong communication skills both one on one as well as in large group settings

·Real life experience both leading and participating in the implementation of Safety management system

·Ability to perform technical risk assessment and drive the improvement change

·Good understanding of the legal requirements for health, safety and environment of the country

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE：

1.Bachelor’s Degree in Safety with mechanical or automation background

2.Professional Certification OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001

3.Minimum 5-7 years of performing safety officer

4.Minimum 5 years in leadership position

5.Computer proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
