1. Main purpose of the role
？ Responsible for the production department and co-ordinates with other department ensure the smooth running of the production in order to achieve the company’s objective in term of on-time delivery, good quality, smart methods, best productivity and lowest cost.
2. Key areas of accountability
？ Build a customer & product oriented production team in facility layout, organization, systems and ensure to meet our customers expectations.
？ Monitor and improve the overall operation of related production lines to achieve the key PI’s on Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Security, Morale, Innovation and Education.
？ Coach and improve people capability and competence to sustain & improve operational performance.
？ Drive the improvement of control in the production lines and implement effective shopfloor management.
？ Control and minimize the production costs within the targets.
？ Participate in the decision making process of production planning and implementation of the planning.
？ Ensure a fast and effective feed-back-loop to previous processes to reduce rejects.
？ Participate actively in new project introduction and make sure that new products started according to planning.
？ Arrange training to operators to ensure qualified workers are available and fitting to requirements.
？ Ensure all operation running according to WI/SOP.
？ Ensure good discipline on the shopfloor.
？ Develop and maintain a good moral on shopfloor with proper performance appraisal and other means of existing recognition and rewarding schemes to build up a happy and valuable workers force.
？ Responsible to ensure the work place is clean, safe and compliance to the company safety regulations.
3. Job Requirement
？ Academic qualification: University graduate or above majoring in optics and electronics discipline.
？ Work experience: 10 years’ experience in people management in a multinational factory environment.
？ Age Range: Above 35 years
？ Language ability: Fluent in writing, reading and speaking English; Mandarin.
？ Computer literacy: Use of PC and information to support management decision making, presentation and communication (e.g. application of PC software like Excel, word, powerpoint).
？ Others:
(a). Understanding of quality tools, basic operational management skill as policy deployment, shopfloor management, 5S, TPM and Lean production.
(b). People management skill and understanding on performance appraisal and job description.
(c). Team spirit and good communication skill.
(d). Profound understanding of ISO 9000 and well understanding of TS16949 and ISO 14001.
