Role of this position
The principle role of a Master Planner is to level the order backlog in due to internal and external restrictions to guarantee an undisturbed production and an on schedule delivery of the trailer. In case of time delays it is his responsibility to initiate the escalation management and to moderate between concerned parties.
Responsibility
- Fix the production sequence depending on various internal (e.g.machines, number of personnel) or external
(e.g.material availability) restrictions
- Escalation management in event of time problems because of quality or manufacturing issues or as a result of
missing material
- Provide different forecasts for sales, suppliers and company management in order to inform the suppliers about
the needed capacities
- Level all orders on hand by weeks, days and sequences in due consideration of bottlenecks and order backlog
- Categorize incoming orders concerning technical complexity and procurement lead time
- Define production date for vehicles depending on working time for construction and lead time
- Lead order entry meetings
- Set up internal KPIs
Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration, Process/Logistic Management or similar and more than 5 years of
experience in the field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in distribution/operations/supply chain or order management
- Good knowledge of business processes, management and business office operations
- Project management skills
- Good computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar and Microsoft Office Products
- High level of written and spoken English
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
