Our client, a leading energy company, is looking for high caliber candidate to fill the post of: -

Chemical Plant Engineering Manager, China

Report to : Vice President, Project Management (base in Hong Kong)

Supervise : Project Team in building chemical plant in different locations

Other location : Xu Zhou, Shanxi, Zhangjiaguang and Shandong, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Vice President - Project Management in the overall planning, quality control, statutory, safety and environmental issues and the monitoring of the work progress of the construction of chemical or gas production plants in Mainland China with the following responsibilities:
• Lead an internal team to oversee the design, building and commissioning of process plant projects in Mainland China
• Ensure the success of projects in quality, value and legal compliance
• Coordinate with local design institutes
• Perform construction management role and supervise contractors’ performance
• Promote positive working relation with local government authorities, statutory bodies, business partners and relevant parties

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Mechanical/ Chemical/ Environmental/ Industrial Engineering or related discipline
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in chemical plant construction or operation in Mainland China
• Possess leadership quality and able to lead the project management team independently
• Good command of written and spoken English & Chinese, fluent in Putonghua
• Willing to work and station in PRC
